Santiago of Corona, one of the best teams in the country and arguably the top team in the state of California, features six girls on this team and every single one of them deserve the honor.
KEEPER: Starting with the keeper, who was a junior at Santiago this past season, Turley kept an incredible 18 clean sheets and with her stewardship, the team only allowed 21 goals in 30 matches. She is a leader between the posts and she is an athletic keeper.
DEFENDERS: Santiago junior Lexi Coughlin gets lumped in with this group, as she is a midfielder and a wingback in the 3-5-2. She is very versatile. She’s a center back by training, but plays out of position for Santiago, moving out wide. She is a threat when pushing up and incredibly quick and dangerous when cutting in on her right foot. She has given her verbal commitment to Duke. She is joined by two seniors, one is her teammate, Gracie Kelley, who anchored the 3-5-2 and helped lead the team to 18 clean sheets. She’s headed to Abilene Christian, and chipped in with two goals and three assists. Natalie Beston Natalie Beston D Etiwanda (CA) | 2024 CA was an All-CIF selection and is one of two players from Etiwanda to be selected after their excellent season.
MIDFIELDERS: Three of the four midfielders are DI commits, and the fourth is only a sophomore who plays for the US Youth National U16 team. That would be Scotti Antonucci from Etiwanda who is a difference-making player. Two Santiago players join the midfield as Krystal Medina Krystal Medina M CA , who is going to play at Columbia, and was chosen as the Riverside County Player of the Year, is joined by her teammate Brianna Garcia, who will play next season at Wesleyan. Mia Goettsche Mia Goettsche F CA , a junior from Roosevelt, is committed to BYU and is coming off a season of 17 goals and six assists.
FORWARDS: The three forwards are immensely talented and it starts with Santiago junior, and the Southern Section’s Open Division Player of the Year in Madelyn Saruwatari Madelyn Saruwatari F Santiago | 2025 State CA . She is a selfless player, who had more assists than goals, finishing with 18 assists. She also had 16 goals, including seven of them coming in CIF Open Division and Regional play. She also just recently committed to Point Loma Nazarene. Ireland Churchill Ireland Churchill F Eleanor Roosevelt | 2026 State CA , just a sophomore from Eastvale High, had 27 goals and 15 assists, while senior Kendall Campbell Kendall Campbell F Alta Loma (CA) | 2024 CA from Alta Loma had 18 goals on the season.
