Only four of the hundreds of teams that started the season with title aspirations in each of the six divisions still stand and they will battle this week in Georgetown, with matches taking place at Birkelbach Field from Wednesday to Sunday in the State Tournament.
The best of the best will be action over the next few days and we’ve prepared previews for each division to get you ready to follow the climax of high school soccer in the state of Texas this season.
Division 6A Girls
Semifinals – Friday, April 12
9:30 am – Rockwall (Region 2) vs. Westlake (Region 4)
12:00 pm – Prosper (Region 1) vs. Seven Lakes (Region 3)
Championship Game – Saturday, April 13
4:00 pm – Winner of Semifinal #1 vs. Winner of Semifinal #2
Team Previews
Prosper
The Lady Eagles from Prosper have already made history this season, giving the program its first State Tournament appearance. The team emerged as the top side in Region 1, advancing to the playoffs in third place in District 5 and producing a campaign of 24 wins, two losses and two ties, with 101 goals scored and 23 allowed. Prosped navigated a tough postseason schedule, getting wins over Coppell, Arlington, Hebron, Southlake Carroll and Marcus.
Players to Watch: Maggie Manning Maggie Manning GK Prospect | 2024 TX (senior goalkeeper), Rhiannon Mahon Rhiannon Mahon 5'10" | D Prosper | 2026 State #33 Nation TX (sophomore defender) and Beya Rosales (senior defender)
Rockwall
The Lady Jackets from Rockwall are back in the State Tournament for the second time in three years, having first appeared in 2022. They were the top team in Region 2, going undefeated in District 10 and making the trip to Georgetown with 21 wins, three losses and two ties in the season (they have 101 goals for and just 14 against). In the playoffs, Rockwall eliminated Naaman Forest, Mansfield, Sachse, Tomball and Wylie East.
Players to Watch: Faith Graves (senior goalkeeper), Brinlee Weir Brinlee Weir D TX (senior defender) and Ayla Garcia Ayla Garcia D TX (senior midfielder)
Seven Lakes
The Spartans from Katy ended a 12-year wait to return to the State Tournament for the third time, following appearances in 2010 and 2012. They represent Region 3, were the co-champions of District 19 and have a season record of 19 wins, three losses and five ties, with 76 goals scored and 17 conceded. Seven Lakes’ postseason campaign included victories over George Ranch, Cy-Fair, Memorial, Pearland and Jordan.

Westlake
The Chaps from Austin will appear in the State Tournament for the fourth time, having previously competed in 1996, 2007 and 2022. Coming from Region 4, they were third in District 26 and completed their campaign with 16 wins, four losses and two ties – their offense tallied 66 goals and their defense allowed 19. Westlake overcame Westwood, Johnson, Lake Travis, Harlingen and Taft in the playoffs.
