of Seven Lakes, it wasn’t fear, it was opportunity. The moment echoed the greatness of Juninho at Lyon, yes, that Juninho, the free kick master. And just like him, Kennedy approached the ball with calm intensity… and unleashed a spell.
Her strike? Pure power. The ball took flight like a bird, fast and rising, gliding with that impossible blend of speed and elegance. No one expected it. Not the crowd. Not the keeper.
But stars don’t ask for permission they just shine.
And shine she did.
As the ball hit the back of the net, her teammates erupted, sprinting to her, celebration crashing over the field like a wave. It wasn’t just a goal, it was a moment to remember.

The senior right back thrived defensively and offensively and was another key figure in her team’s dramatic victory. Reed was extremely solid defensively and didn’t allow much to happen in her zone – she also did a great job of coming inside to defend the far post when plays developed on the opposite side and got to make a couple of important clearances. With the Spartans trailing, she pushed forward and offered a lot offensively, with good crosses down the right. Reed was also decisive in set pieces as, besides deciding the match with an incredible shot from 35 yards out, she also created other good chances with great deliveries. The defender was a vocal leader for her team and pushed them up in the most difficult moments of the match.

The senior was definitely Seven Lakes’ most active player in the match and was involved in most of what the Spartans did. Reed started the match as a left wing back and appeared very often in the final third in the first half, connecting well with her teammates and helping them create chances. She moved to midfield in the second half and got even more involved in the team’s playmaking. Reed did a good job with her runs through the middle, which on a few occasions got Tompkins’ defense out of shape, and distributed the ball well.

Reed will play a central role in the defensive system of Spartan Bracket hosts Seven Lakes, starting from their opening match against Friendswood. Capable of playing anywhere across the backline, she will probably appear in central defense for them this year, but should also help in other positions. Reed can be dominant in individual duels, putting a lot of pressure on opponents and playing with tremendous intensity. She’s an excellent tackler, who rarely mistimes her actions and frequently comes out of duels with the ball. Reed is also very strong in the air, helping protect the team’s penalty box and offering a strong presence in attacking set pieces.

Reed will be the defensive anchor of Albion Hurricanes FC ECNL in the conference. She can play anywhere across the backline, but her defensive instincts make more of an impact at the center back position, where she’s constantly challenged by opposing attackers. Reed thrives in the middle of a back three, where her outstanding reading of the game and impressive athleticism allow her to make timely interventions. She is also an offensive weapon for her team in dead-ball situations with her excellent position in the penalty and her ability to win aerial duels and score off of headers.

Playing in the middle of Albion’s back three, Reed was very solid defensively for the team. She read the game very well and knew exactly when to step up and occupy the space in front of the penalty box or to stay back and get ready to cover her teammates. Reed was very successful in most of the duels she was involved and helped disrupt some plays. She was moved up to striker during the second half and provided the presence and the energy the team needed up top, scoring off of a header, having some other chances in the air and putting pressure on Sting Austin’s center backs when they had the ball.

Reed’s ability to perform multiple roles at a very high level was extremely valuable for the Spartans as she played four different positions during the match and helped fill out the lineup as needed. The junior probably had her best moments at right back, having a very strong start to the match, consistently pushing forward and helping the team create chances. Reed created problems for Jordan in a variety of ways, making runs down the flank, bringing the ball inside and sending long passes behind their backline. She was also very solid defensively, not allowing any chances to be created in her area of the field and making a couple of critical tackles inside and around the penalty box. Because of her ability to dribble the ball, she drew several fouls, many of which were in dangerous areas of the field. Reed also played left back, right winger and striker, using her pace to make runs in open space in transition plays near the end.

One of the starting center backs for Albion Hurricanes FC G07, Reed will have big challenges ahead, going against SLSG Navy, Utah Avalanche and VA Union. She can play play anywhere across the backline, but is typically used as a left-sided center back. Reed is very physical, but also quick, and that combination makes of her a nightmare matchup to any forward that goes her way. She is a big threat in corner kicks with her aerial ability, has an interesting passing range and often catches defenders off-guard with smart runs off the ball into the penalty box, especially when playing as an outside back.

A defender with excellent technical and physical tools, Reed can play anywhere across the backline. She started this season as a left wingback and could be a very good fit for the position with her impressive athleticism and quality on the ball. Reed is strong in the air and in 1v1 plays and is very calm and confident on the ball. She’s very quick going forward and, playing on the left, can cut inside and finish with her preferred right foot. The defender is also a goal-scoring threat in set pieces with well-placed headers.
