Sanchez is the starting goalkeeper for Sting Austin 10 in the ECNL league and she plays high school soccer for Hays. A technically sound goalkeeper, she works very well between the posts, producing impressive saves, and also does a great job of controlling the penalty box in set pieces. One of Sanchez’s defining skills in goal is her quickness, which gives her the ability to come out of nowhere and take the ball from the feet of opposing attackers when they come into the box, and to work as almost a sweeper, stepping up to cover her defenders when they’re beaten in space. Because she plays as a forward for Hays, the goalkeeper is very confident and skilled on the ball, managing to get out of difficult situations when in possession.
