Top 8 JUCO Players Available to Transfer

With the most recent Pavio ruling against the NCAA, now making it possible for players transferring to NCAA schools from a JUCO institution with a full 4 year eligibility clock. JUCO athletes have become much more appealing to 4-year college coaches. They tend to be older more developed athletes than their younger counterparts playing in a National youth leagues (ECNL, MLSNext, etc.) As a JUCO product myself I would have loved the opportunity to stay and play at Gonzaga for two more years to pursue higher degrees. I'm glad that a younger version of me gets to have that chance.   1. Saul Tecle- He was the United Soccer Coaches JUCO Player of the Year as a Freshmen. He put on an absolute show for Las Positas College this season setting multiple school records. He scored 27 goals in 20 games. He is one of the fastest player's I've ever seen. He combines that speed with an elite ability to finish. An absolutely deadly combination for the opposition. When I watch him he reminds me of a young Michael Owen. Power 4 schools are going to be all over this guy. 2. Preston Parsons- The All-American Goalkeeper has every physical trait needed to go extremely far. Incredibly athletic, elite shot-stopping ability, absolutely fearless, and plays angles well. He has elite communication skills and a true leader of men as he organizes his defensive troops extremely well. He was also an All-American Javelin thrower which speaks to his versatility and pedigree as an athlete.   3. D'Andre Pickett- The Pima Community sophomore has earned All-American in back to back years. He just announced that he will be transferring to Cal with a fresh 4 years of eligibility. Extremely smart decision to stay at JUCO an extra year with this new ruling coming into force. He's fast and almost impossible to beat 1 v 1 as his timing on his tackling is exceptional. He has amazing footwork it looks like he can take 3 steps in the time it takes a normal player to take 1. Top talent.   4. Edouard Nys- The Northeast Community College Sophomore superstar put together an incredible two seasons. He scored 48 goals and dished out 49 assists in 49 appearances over his two seasons playing for the Hawks. With 31 goals and 27 assists being this season. The All-American has had unquestioned production at this level. Having that much success at the Division 1 level will be hard. But even half of that production is an incredible career output.   5. Carlo Romberg- Tyler Community College is a JUCO powerhouse and I'd argue that Romberg was their best player. The Sophomore midfielder scored 7 goals and contributed 11 assists during this All-American season. He was the midfield conductor that made this team tick. He's a great set piece taker and his low center of gravity makes it really difficult to get the ball off him. He is amazing on the half turn and a very tidy finisher.   6. Daniel Mulero- Indian Hills Community College made it all the way to the NJCAA final four and Mulero was a huge reason why. The Sophomore scored 15 goals and had 19 assists during his impressive All-American campaign. His ability to beat the back line with a through ball is something to behold. His ability to weight a pass and put unique spins on the ball is going to make him a very wanted man at the next level.   7. Ajmal Tesilimi- NJCAA D1 National Champion check, United Soccer Coaches All-American check, Conference Player of the Year check, it has been quite the year for this young star. He dribble into space and distributes beautifully. He's not the tallest center back but he makes up for it with his ability to read play and his recovery speed. He seems to thrive in the Left Center back role as he is very two footed. A power 4 school would be lucky to have him next season.   8. Ryosuke Miyata- The young midfielder from Japan is a top talent. He scored 8 goals and had 14 assists for Murray State college. He is a prototypical player from that region with exceptional technique and vision. His first touch is amazing and he is very astute tactically able to find gaps in defenses that are tough to find.   <ol class="wp-block-list"></ol>
