Included in part 2 of 2 series are the First Team All-League players from Archbishop Mitty, Saint Ignatius, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Valley Christian, Presentation, and Archbishop Riordan.

USE THE PROMO CODE almasin30 for a discount on your first subscription

Part 1 focused on the four Saint Francis players as well as the players of the year award winners. This version completes the list of players and highlights some of the other top-level WCAL teams and players.

Archbishop Mitty had a really good season and made a good run at a NorCal title. They came in second place in a highly competitive WCAL league (West Catholic Athletic League). Their overall record of 17-5-1 and 9-2-1 in league play is still considered successful as they ended the season ranked as the 47th team in CA and a 157 ranking in the nation. The Monarchs also finished as the runners-up this season at the CCS Division II title match against San Ramon Valley, who went on to win the inaugural Division II state championship.

Mitty produced three first team all leaguers, [player_tooltip player_id='111177' first='Zuri' last='Brandt'] - Forward (Washington commit), Laila Ortiz - Defender, and Lilly Jones - Forward. Of the bunch, Ortiz will be the only one not returning due to graduation. Brandt was a Junior and Jones a Sophomore this past season. I'm getting the feeling that next season will be a great season for the Monarchs as they look to reload with possibly 2 other top-level key players returning next season.

Saint Ignatius had two first-teamers from the 2026 class. Gussie Robillard (Mercer commit), midfielder, and Alex Villalta, defender, helped the Wildcats to a 3rd place league finish at 8-2-2 and an overall record of 13-6-2.

Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep came in 4th with a league record of 5-7 and an overall record of 14-8-1. The two Fighting Irish all-leaguers are Kylee Po—Midfielder and [player_tooltip player_id='146349' first='Francesca' last='Johnson'] (Washington commit)—Forward. Po and Johnson combined for a total of 26 of SHP's 59 goals. Kylee scored 14 and had 6 assists, while Francesca scored 12 and provided 15 assists.

Rounding out the last three teams with one player as their team's representative is Kaitlyn Wagner - Forward (Valley Christian). Ella Claveran - Goalkeeper (Presentation), and Natalie Dueber - Clark University commit - Midfielder (Archbishop Riordan).

Featured Players:

[player_tooltip player_id='146349' first='Francesca' last='Johnson'] - Junior - Sacred Heart Cathedral - Duke Commit - #38 in CA, #10 in Position, and #210 in the nation

I've covered Francesca in numerous club matches and she has always delivered. The Duke commit helped her Sacred Heart Cathedral team to 4th place WCAL (West Catholic Athletic League) and an overall record of 14-8-1 on the season. She scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists for the Fighting Irish. Francesca is a top-tier player who can score goals in bunches or is impressive enough to make any highlight reel. On the pitch, she's calm, cool, and collected. She has the technical skills to work in tight spaces and slice trough defenses for high percentage scoring opportunities. SHP is looking to be a team to challenge for the top spot next year.

Francesca's Highlights: [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] vs. Utah Royals FC-AZ - ECNL Phoenix Competition - One of the best goals of the year.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/2038017703391478138?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='111177' first='Zuri' last='Brandt'] - Forward - Junior - Archbishop Mitty - Washington Commit - #57 in CA, #41 in Position, and WL in national ranking

The Mitty Forward made some key goals and provided assists in the Monarchs run to a NorCal Division II title match. I've covered her on numerous occasions at the club and high school level. One of her consistent strengths is in running down the channels and taking power shots from range. Her ability to apply strong pressure up top is what keeps defenders on their toes. The Washington commit is working on getting her club team to make a run at qualifying for the national tourney. I'm also getting the feeling that she will have her best season next year as she and her team looks to make a run at the WCAL title as they hope to return two top-level key players next season.

Zuri's Highlights: High School competition - Goal and celebration by Zuri.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DTl9YbrifPj/?hl=en

Lilly Jones - Forward - Sophomore - Archbishop Mitty

Lilly was a key contributor on the Monarch's offense and their run to a NorCal Division II Title match. She provided the high pressure up top and almost stole a ball or two, which would've made things interesting. Lily is great at making diagonal runs and overlapping runs to the box. Whenever she's near or around the 18, teams must account for her, as she can fire off shots from range or slip past defenders. I really like her approach in the attacking third. Her powerful runs and intense display of toughness are some of her strengths as a forward. Lilly is player who will make a strong statement next season as Mitty hopes to contend for a WCAL title.

Ella Claveran - Sophomore - Presentation

She is a fearless goalkeeper who will not back down on 1v1's. I've previously covered some of her matches as the club and high school levels. Ella is really good at reading the attack and she can cut off angles and make key shot-stopping saves when stepping off the line. She is also a standout WBAL flag football MVP, while winning player of the week accolades for her skills as a Wide Receiver and Cornerback. I'm definitely looking forward to evaluating her on the Elite [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] ECNL G10 team as they make a run for a national title.

Ella's Highlights: [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] - ECNL competition

https://www.instagram.com/ellaclav.sports
