Nine Uncommitted 2026s Scouts Should Prioritized at ECNL PHX

The ECNL regular season is quickly coming to a close with only three national events left on the calendar before postseason events. The first of those three kicks off on Friday from Phoenix.    One of the focuses for scouts at this event will be filling out the 2026 class. With over 1000 players already verbally committed, there are not a ton of spots remaining for the high school juniors.    However, diligent scouts will be rewarded as there are still some players out there who could be difference-makers at top programs at the college level. Check out a scouting report on five names to know below.    Williams would be the top target for my roster at the college level from the 2026 class. She's a forward for the [program_tooltip program_id='283425' first='[program_tooltip program_id='283424' first='Pateadores' last='']' last=''] 08 ECNL who has immediate impact qualities and potential to be on the professional pathway as well. She's got track speed and it shows on the field. Williams is taking part in the National Selection Game at the event and it wound't surprise me if she was named Player of the Game.     Kelly is the biggest surprise on this list. She is a winner every where she plays. She was named the Defensive MVP of her high school team, Santiago (Corona), this season while leading them to a CIF Southern Regional Division I Championship. She also earned All-CIF honors for Open Division - one of two uncommitted 2026s to claim that honor. Kelly has been just as good for her club team. She was ECNL Southwest Conference First Team honoree last season. The awards are plentiful. The game film backs it up. A talented defender who can impact the game in a variety of ways. Any scout looking for help in the 2026 class should prioritize the Legends 08 team in Phoenix.     Masters is a top goalkeeper in the 2026 class. She's an athletic, determined, tough shot-stopper. Her [program_tooltip program_id='281473' first='Colorado' last='Rush'] has games against Eastside, Portland Thorns, and Minnesota Thunder on the schedule. Masters' ability to change the game with her shot-stopping ability, high-flying clearances on crosses, and full command of her box on through balls sets her apart from her peers in the goalkeeping position. She is also one of the most dedicated players on improving her craft and continues to develop and refine her game.     Johnson is one of the top players in Nevada in the 2026 class. She's a box-to-box midfielder who thrives with her technical skill and astute tactical awareness. She has great spatial awareness and navigates away from defenders with her first touch. She is constantly scanning the field and checking her shoulder before receiving the ball. Her first touch and close control of the ball suggest that she will be able to handle the increase in speed of play at the next level. Johnson was a First Team ECNL Southwest All-Conference selection last year.     Mills is playing in the National Selection Game. She's a Beach FC standout who can play as a forward or midfielder. She'd be a real asset to a team that wants to play quick combination passes through the center and rely on a technical, creative force in the final third. Mills has been outstanding for Beach FC 07 in the past. She's also shined at the high school level for Palos Verdes. She should be unstoppable in the All-Star game as the attacking talent around her will shine with her playmaking qualities.     There's a lot of players who claim they are equally strong with their right and left feet. Not sure I've seen a player take free kicks and alternate which foot to strike the ball with like Padilla does. She's got a unique quality in that regard. It's effective too. She scored quite a few goals on free kicks at the high school level recently. She's a talented dribbler who can put a defender on the ground with her tight cuts and body feints. Padilla's technical skill and finishing quality makes her a top prospect among the uncommitted pool.     Copeland is a goalkeeper on the Eagles 08. She's fresh off a strong high school season. Copeland's strengths are her shot-stopping ability and positional awareness. She's very good at shot tracking and gets her hand on any shot on the frame of goal. She is strong so if she touches the ball, it's not going into her net. She's also great at playing tall in her goal on crosses. She will meet the ball at the high point. Her distribution is accurate and she sets up her teammates for success with the quality of her passes. Copeland is among the top goalkeepers at the event in the 08 age group.     Highly productive attacking talent at a top ECNL club is usually one of the first attributes that college scouts look for and Forsgren fits that description perfectly. She's a talented winger with versatility. She can fill in defensively as well. She's fresh off another stellar high school season where she was an All-League First Team selection. Forsgren continuing that confident play into Phoenix should have scouts lining the sidelines at Mustang games.     Crocker is another 2026 taking part in the National Selection Game at the event. She's an outside back from [program_tooltip program_id='283467' first='Santa' last='Rosa United']. She plays right back and shines as a two-way player. She has the pace to get past the opposition and the ball striking quality to serve a great cross. Crocker's willingness to join the attack definitely shines compared to her peers and makes her an exciting addition to any recruiting class. She's an excellent 1v1 defender as well. Fearless in the tackle and strong in the duel, she has all the tools to be a key contributor at the next level.
