One thing you can’t do is lose sight of Alston on the wing because she will make you pay. Further, the fast forward follows the play and becomes dangerous on the opposite side of the field. When her teammates find her, she is quick to touch and shoot with purpose. Reading the backline, Alston also uses her speed to intercept passes near goal and finish.

Even so, her attacking mindset is only part of her impact. Just as important, she wins the ball back in possession with strength and timing. With that blend of pace and work rate, the De Anza Force attacker will be a player to watch.

Alston is a winger on the De Anza Force 2010 ECNL team. She plays on the left wing for her club team. She’s been called into US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. She is left footed, quick, and a good finisher from wide angles. Alston has been electric to start the season. She’s proved that she can score in a variety of ways. Her speed has punished the defense in the press and she is putting the ball in the back of the net in a blink of an eye when she gets the chance. She’s done well in timing her runs off the ball to split the defense and capitalize on any opening she spots. She is also capable of beating a defender off the dribble. Alston is clearly getting the attention of scouts in Northern California based on her recent call-up to the US Soccer Talent ID Camp.
