Five Forwards to Know from the Updated Texas 2026 Boys Rankings

<p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2026 Texas Boys State Rankings were updated last week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted.</p>   <p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always having in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at teh next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/boys/2026-rankings/">Texas 2026 Boys State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2026 Boys State Rankings now feature 115 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list.</p>   <p>Today, we get to the forwards and these are among the ones that stand out for their ability to decide matches:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Salazar ranks second among the forwards in the class of 2026 and is eighth overall in our Rankings. He plays for [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] U19 in MLS Next, but also features for North Texas SC in MLS Next Pro, where he made 15 appearances off the bench in 2025. A striker, Salazar is a handful for opposing defenders because of how well he uses his body to shield the ball and dominate the space both inside and outside the penalty box. A lethal finisher, he consistently gets into great spots in the box and rarely needs more than one touch of the ball to send it to the back of the net. He's part of the [program_tooltip program_id='283657' first='Houston' last='Dynamo'] Academy, but has been mostly involved with Dynamo Dos in MLS Next Pro, where he had 12 appearances (two starts) this season, scoring one goal. Garcia is a Venezuelan Youth international and has a good track record in tournaments in South America, scoring at a good rate against strong competition. He knows his way inside and around the penalty box and is very calm in front of the goal, converting his chances at a good rate. A two-time state champion with Seven Lakes, he plays for GFI U19 in MLS Next and is currently spending some time playing in Spain. Koc is probably one of the most technically gifted forwards in the state and he does a great job of using his skills to create and convert chances for his team. He's typically used as a left winger, but can also play more centrally, as a second forward or attacking midfielder. He plays high school soccer for Plano West and leads the line for the [program_tooltip program_id='283639' first='Dallas' last='Hornets'] U19 team in MLS Next. He's a mobile striker who thrives by popping up in great spots inside the penalty box, getting on the end of crosses and making runs behind the backline. He is part of Forney's high school soccer team and plays for the [program_tooltip program_id='283311' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] Academy U19 side in the ECNL league. He's a striker who stands out for his high-energy game, which reflects on the field with constant movement in the final third and an impressive ability to press defenders. Hart is very involved in his team's playmaking, frequently moving out of his zone to combine with teammates and open up space for them. He's skilled on the ball and does good work with his back to the ball.
