Girl’s College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 43

Some will be happy, others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. A very successful program who has won national championships in the past 10 years. She has excellent feet and a powerful striker of the ball when she's playing long balls as well as her shots. The Tigers have had a decent season thus far sitting at .500. She is an excellent finisher and has a high motor that projects to do very well in the Mountain West. Something has become very clear to me doing these. Hawaii is a hotbed for talent. Aoki is no different she is an outstanding athlete who is extremely versatile on a soccer field. She is joining a Cowgirl squad that has had a good season thus far at 7-4-5. The San Juan midfielder is an elite talent with NWSL potential. She is an outstanding facilitator with excellent technique. Unbelievable finisher, scoring half chances for fun. Macniven is a fantastic dribbler and finds pockets of space in the opposing defense really well. She is shifty and quick when closing space.
