Five Goalies to Know from the Updated Texas 2026 Girls Rankings

<p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2026 Texas Girls State Ranking was updated last week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted.</p>   <p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always having in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at teh next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/girls/2026-rankings/">Texas 2026 Girls State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2026 Girls State Rankings now feature 221 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list.</p>   <p>We start with the goalkeepers:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Cervantes is the top-ranked goalkeeper in our Rankings and appears in 12th place overall. She plays high school soccer for Grand Prairie and recently joined [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']' U19 team in the ECNL League after many years with Solar SC. Cervantes' impeccable technique between the posts is what makes of her the top goalkeeper in Texas in her class. She simply doesn't make mistakes in goal and is as reliable as it gets with her decision-making and execution when it comes to stopping shots. Despite not being very tall, she has excellent control of the penalty box and is very effective at dealing with crosses. She plays for Cedar Ridge's high school program and has been a staple for the [program_tooltip program_id='283497' first='Sting' last='Austin'] U19 team in the ECNL league. Consistency is one of her trademarks as she's been performing at a very high level for years, while also adding new tools to her game. Long and athletic, Tetmeyer is extremely explosive between the posts and demands full effort from opponents who want to score on her. She's impressively calm between the posts, and that mental strength allows her to step up in key moments and produce big saves for her team. Mollett captains Sunnyvale at the high school level and plays for [program_tooltip program_id='333974' first='Atletico' last='Dallas'] U19 in the Girls Academy League - she also has experience in the ECNL after playing for many years with Sting Royal. In goal, she a relentless shot-stopper, who has excellent reflexes and is willing to pur her body through whatever it takes to stop shots. She's a key player for both her high school team Lake Creek and her club side [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'] U19 in the ECNL league. Lipari has risen through the ranks over the last two years, going from Challenge's RL squad to become an important piece in their top team. She has solid foundations in her game, but what makes her an elite shot-stopper is her ability to read opponents when they get into the box and react accordingly, picking the best options to keep the ball off the net. She starts for an elite high school program in Seven Lakes and recently switched clubs, going from SG1 in the ECNL Regional League to GFI in the Girls Academy Aspire Division League. Her game between the posts heavily relies on her agility and her ability to quickly get to the ground to make saves, two skills that really show when she is faced with short-distance shots. Always calm in goal, Koop is also very consistent when dealing wth finishes from outside the box.
