Five Goalies to Know from the Updated Texas 2027 Girls Rankings

<p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2027 Texas Girls State Ranking was updated earlier this week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted.</p>   <p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always having in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at teh next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/girls/2027-rankings/">Texas 2027 Girls State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2027 Boys State Rankings now feature 285 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list.</p>   <p>We start with the goalkeepers:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Flores is the top-ranked goalkeeper in our State Rankings and appears in 37th place overall. She plays club soccer for San Antonio SC, competing with their U19 team in the Girls Academy League. Built on her excellent positioning and incredible athleticism, Flores' game has continued to expand over the last few years, adding to what was already a solid foundation. Very explosive, she's capable of making impressive saves in short-distance shots. Currently sidelined due to a knee injury, she plays high school soccer for Keller Central and represents Sting Royal's U17 team in the ECNL League. Towers does great work between the posts, showing impressive reflexes and athleticism to get to shots fired in the corners, and also commands the penalty box with authority, being the first to get to crosses and passes behind the backline. One of the defining traits of her game is her ability in possession. She captains Summer Creek at the high school level and plays for the [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'] U19 team in the ECNL League. A big, physical goalkeeper, she's really tough to beat between the posts because of how much area she can cover between the posts, while also demonstrating excellent mobility, reflexes and firm hands to make saves. She plays for McAllen High School and is part of [program_tooltip program_id='283296' first='Classics' last='Elite']'s U17 team in the ECNL League. Trevino does impressive work between the posts, being a somewhat undersized goalkeeper and making the most of her incredible reflexes and superior positioning. She's very technical with her saves and extremely quick to make decisions, giving her an extra split-second to get to the ball. She plays high school soccer for Cedar Park, having helped the team win the last State Championship, and is with [program_tooltip program_id='283397' first='[program_tooltip program_id='278668' first='Lonestar' last='SC'] U17 in the ECNL Regional League. Hart makes the most of her length between the posts and is very quick to get to the ground, strongly challenging opposing attackers who attempt to score on her. The goalkeeper has good technical skills and is very reliable with her actions, rarely spilling the ball or giving up rebounds.
