Flores was one of the goalkeepers of the FC Dallas team that registered two wins and one loss over the weekend. She was very strong for them in their only clean sheet, a 1-0 win over Minnesota Thunder Academy on Monday, in their last match in the event. A goalkeeper of strong reflexes, Flores made some athletic saves, exploding for the ball to keep it out of goal. She was also very quick to leaver her spot when needed and made some critical interventions in the moments where the opponents were dominating the game.

One of the top goalkeepers in Texas in her age group, Flores will be with San Antonio City SC 08 in their matches against Albion SC San Diego, Westside Metros FC and Sporting United FC in the event’s showcase. A very technical and intelligent goalkeeper, she uses her excellent positioning between the posts and inside the penalty box to make critical interventions for her side. Flores is not very tall, but is extremely explosive and athletic, which allows her to get to balls not many other players in the position would. She also communicates well with her backline and makes sure everyone is engaged and knows what to do on defense. Another aspect of Flores’ game that sets her apart is her ability to perform under prolonged periods of pressure, remaining focused and steady in her task.

The talented goalkeeper expects to continue her development in the league after emerging as a very promising prospect in the position in the ECNL. Flores switched clubs this season and will be with the San Antonio City GA 08 team that will meet Challenge USC RL 08 and Albion Hurricanes 08 Premier 2C at the Aggieland Friendship Cup. She benefits from her excellent positioning between the posts to make stops, but has more than enough athleticism to make acrobatic saves when she needs to. Despite not being very tall, she also controls the penalty box extremely well in crosses and never hesitates before leaving her position to punch or catch the ball. Flores is also very confident with the ball at her feet and distributes the game intelligently out of the back.

She is one of the top goalkeepers in the state in her age group and gives her team tremendous defensive solidness with her play between the posts. She has emerged as one of the most promising goalkeepers in her age group in the Lone Star State recently and has displayed consistent progress every time she goes out and plays. Flores is very explosive and that allows her to make acrobatic saves between the posts not many others would. She’s also very confident and reliable when she needs to step out of the goal to catch or punch crosses, doing it with great efficiency. Another thing that stands out in her game is how patient and disciplined she is in waiting for the right moment to step forward and take up space from opposing attackers in 1v1 situations, not giving up anything.

Flores has been outstanding this season as the goalkeeper for Classics Elite 09 ECNL. She had maybe her best game of the campaign against Solar last weekend. She made a number of acrobatic saves in the game. She also had a couple of saves after the whistle too that won’t go into the stat sheet but were equally as impressive in the highlights. She did well in the crosses and had a couple of key punches/tips at the right time. Flores is one to watch from the goalkeeper position in this class.
