Currently sidelined due to a knee injury, she plays high school soccer for Keller Central and represents Sting Royal’s U17 team in the ECNL League. Towers does great work between the posts, showing impressive reflexes and athleticism to get to shots fired in the corners, and also commands the penalty box with authority, being the first to get to crosses and passes behind the backline. One of the defining traits of her game is her ability in possession. Towers is very comfortable and patient on the ball and thrives with her distribution out of the back, even when under pressure.

Towers appeared in goal for the Sting Royal team that had a perfect campaign of three victories in the event. They had a tough schedule, filled with strong opponents, and the goalkeeper helped them successfully navigate it with her strong play between the posts. I watched their 1-0 win over SLSG Navy, on Saturday, in which Towers was called to action quite a few times and appeared well, displaying impressive reflexes and explosiveness. She was excellent at getting to the ground and got to some really difficult shots in the lower corner to make the stop. The goalkeeper was also very comfortable on the ball and refused to force long passes out of the back, keeping possession until a better option surfaced.

Tower and her Sting Royal 09 team have matches scheduled against XF Academy, United Futbol Academy and Bay Area Surf. She’ll probably split time between the posts with Finley Pike Finley Pike 5'7" | GK Walnut Grove | 2027 State TX , giving her team two excellent options in goal. Tatum has great command of the penalty box, dealing well with the crosses sent her way, and is also extremely agile between the posts, doing a great job of getting to shots fired into her lower corners. Towers is also very skilled with her feet, being able to connect good passes out of the back or initiate direct plays with accurate punts.
