The Dynamo got their first goal in the fourth minute of action, after midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='341676' first='Dyland' last='Cardenas'] got the ball to forward Ryu Roberts, who fired a low shot with his right foot. In the 16th minute, Kevin Juarez picked up a loose ball outside the box and hit a beautiful first-time shot into the upper corner to double their lead. The Dynamo scored a third goal in the first half, with Cardenas shooting from well outside the box and sending the ball over Tulsa's goalkeeper Adam El-Demerdash in the 20th minute.

The fourth goal came in the tenth minute of the second half, when forward [player_tooltip player_id='295641' first='Aariz' last='Syed'] made a run down the right and crossed to Cardenas, who converted. In the 27th minute, Syed was on the end of a similar play made by Roberts and scored with a first-time shot. The forward scored again in the 35th minute, after forward Lucas Moscon de Oliveira crossed from the left and the ball deflected off Tulsa's goalkeeper after finding him almost between the posts.

Cardenas was the Dynamo's main chance creator in the match, helping set up many of the team's most dangerous attacking plays. Playing as an attacking midfielder, he circulated extremely well in the attacking half, finding pockets of space to get on the ball and make plays. Cardenas was very quick when he had the ball, using his first touch to beat opponents and quickly releasing it, giving the Dynamo a dynamic offense. The midfielder also showed great goalscoring skills, getting his first goal with a beautiful shot from distance and crashing into the penalty box to score the second.

With two goals and an assist, Syed was another important piece in the Dynamo's offense against Greenwood. He wasn't much involved in the first half, but took his game to another level in the second half, being consistently dangerous in the final third. Syed kept the opposing backline under constant pressure with his constant runs and was very good at dribbling the ball to create chances for himself and his teammates. The forward showed great positioning inside the box to score twice with first-time shots and hit the post with a nice finish from the edge of the box.

Juarez was very active in his center midfielder spot and offered significant contributions to the Dynamo's strong performance. He covered a lot of ground defensively and did a good job of keeping opponents under pressure and forcing them into making errors. The midfielder also had an important role in possession, getting the ball from the center backs and moving it quickly and intelligently to initiate the team's attacking plays. Juarez scored a goal with a nice shot from outside the box and had a good chance to get another one after an overlap free-kick routine, but had his shot stopped by Greenwood's goalkeeper. He also showed good quality in set pieces, taking corner kicks with either foot.

Knupfer worked very well alongside Juarez in the center of the field and helped the Dynamo dominate the midfield zone. His defensive game was very strong, as he was excellent at reading and anticipating plays, and very firm and timely when he made a move for the ball. Knupfer also did really good work in possession, moving the ball efficiently and driving it into the attacking half, even drawing some fouls. The midfielder had a very clean performance and was one of the most consistent players on his team.

Singleton's strong performance in central defense helped the Dynamo not only produce a clean sheet but also keep Greenwod's offense under control for almost the entire match. He was constantly matched up with physical striker Daniel Ibom and held his own against him. Singleton was very smart in reading plays and preventing the ball from getting to him, but also did very well when his opponent had possession, getting in his way to slow his runs down and winning the ball with excellent tackles. The defender also showed great mobility to cover his teammates and shut down transition plays on both sides, and was very comfortable on the ball, connecting accurate long passes out of the back and driving it forward.

Ryu spent time on both wings and was a constant threat to Greenwood with his highly technical and aggressive game. He started the match on the left and did a good job of coming inside to be an option and score the team's first goal. He moved to the right in the second half and beat his opponents many times, making an excellent play to assist Syed in the team's fifth goal. From there, Ryu also created some other chances by bringing the ball inside and shooting with his preferred left foot, getting close to scoring another goal.
