With two goals and an assist, Syed was another important piece in the Dynamo’s offense against Greenwood. He wasn’t much involved in the first half, but took his game to another level in the second half, being consistently dangerous in the final third. Syed kept the opposing backline under constant pressure with his constant runs and was very good at dribbling the ball to create chances for himself and his teammates. The forward showed great positioning inside the box to score twice with first-time shots and hit the post with a nice finish from the edge of the box.

Syed started the game on the left side of the Dynamo’s attack and made some good plays there, but became much more dangerous when he moved to the striker role. Always well-positioned inside the box, he scored twice by picking up rebounds and sending the ball into the back of the net. The forward diversified well in his game up top, at times making runs at defenders and, on other occasions, combining with his teammates. Syed had a few more good chances to score, most of which were in plays he created for himself, and saw a powerful shot hit the outside of the post in the second half.

With three goals scored and many good plays in the attacking half, Syed was the most impactful player on the field and had a key role in the Dynamo’s victory. Playing more to the left side of their attack, he was unstoppable when he got the ball in space, using his pace and ball control to dribble it forward and beat defenders. Syed did a great job of timing his runs off the ball and moving into the final third, consistently offering a passing option to his teammates. He also thrived with his positioning inside the penalty box and was excellent with his finishing, converting the three chances he had.

Syed was an excellent attacking partner for Oliveira as the two worked very well off each other to make plays and create chances for the Dynamo. The forward kept his level of play very consistent throughout the match and showed an interesting ability to hurt San Antonio FC ‘s backline in a variety of ways. A physical forward, Syed worked very well with his back to the goal, but also thrived when making runs behind the backline or on the wings, and also displayed great footwork to beat opponents in tight spaces. The forward benefited from his excellent positioning to score an ‘easy’ goal in the final minutes and complete a very good performance.
