Vasquez is the top-ranked defender and takes sixth place overall in the Class of 2030 in Texas. He’s a left back and plays for the Houston Dynamo Academy in the MLS Next League. Vasquez is very solid on both sides of the ball, but the offense is probably the strong area of his game. He’s versatile in the attacking half, being capable of making plays on his own or combining with teammates out wide, but also of coming inside and making an impact with his passing. Vasquez also tends to appear in good spots inside the box in set pieces and converts his chances at a good rate. He holds his own defensively, too, showing solid discipline to work off the ball and keeping opponents out of the penalty box with his intelligent positioning and moves.
