After some months, the Prep Soccer 2028 Texas Girls State Ranking was updated earlier this week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted. These goalkeepers are among the ones who made the cut:    Barrett is the number one goalkeeper in the Rankings and appears in second place overall in Texas in the age group. She's part of Solar SC G10 in the ECNL League and plays high school soccer for Plano Senior. A player with multiple call-ups to USYNT training camps, Barrett has every tool to shine at the next level, putting together a formidable mix of size, length, agility and reflexes between the posts. The mental aspect of her game is also very strong, as she's not only incredibly reliable, but capable of sustaining pressure extremely well and stepping up in big moments. She captains the HTX G09 team in the Girls Academy League and is part of The Woodlands High School. Long regarded as one of the top goalkeepers in the age group, she saw her stock rise after her amazing performances at the Champions Cup, where she shone in a PK shootout and in multiple matches. Moore's high soccer IQ and solid technical skills allow her to stand out between the posts, but she also thrives when she has to navigate the penalty box to claim crosses. Standing at 6'1", she makes the most of her length to get to shots and is fairly quick to get to the ground and to dive when making stops. Overton does a great job with her positioning between the posts and has excellent footwork, always taking a couple of steps in the right direction before going for the ball, which helps her get to shots into the corners. She's quick to leave her spot when she has to, and has firm, reliable hands, which rarely spill a shot. A six-footer, Kemp stands out for her shot-stopping ability, making great use of her long arms and demonstrating excellent reflexes and reaction speed to get to long-distance shots.
