Loaded. Young. Two words to describe the All-Metro Preseason team from San Jose. Of the 11 players on the team, only two are seniors. Yet we see two Stanford commits and a Johns Hopkins commit. With five of the players entering their junior season and four of them just being sophomore, there will be more commits coming. These players play for some of the best high school teams in California, and will get plenty of exposure and prove they belong on this list.

FORWARDS: It's all underclassmen at the forward position with a pair of juniors and a sophomore. There are a pair of teammates as the Archbishop Mitty duo of junior [player_tooltip player_id='33291' first='Jordan' last='Geis'] and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='19981' first='Murphy' last='Walsh'] will gain a lot of attention this season. Geis was a well known player last year, while Walsh burst on to the scene as a freshman, scoring 11 goals, earning first-team All-West Catholic Athletic League honors. Karena Shah is a holdover from an excellent Mountain View team and should be a very, very important piece this year with the departure key goal scorers. Shah earned first-team All-Santa Clara Valley Athletic League last year with 15 goals and five assists.

MIDFIELDERS: [player_tooltip player_id='33296' first='Charlotte' last='Kohler'] should be considered the headlining name in this group of four midfielders. She is committed to Stanford and was chosen as the WCAL midfielder of the year as a sophomore. She is a very special midfielder who can really control a match. Kate Stone is also a DI commit who will be attending Johns Hopkins. She is a defensive midfielder who is a real driving force as she serves as an excellent bridge between the back line and attack because she can switch play quickly and she possesses the ball very well. She scored three goals and had four assists as a No. 6. Her teammate [player_tooltip player_id='19744' first='Laila' last='Edris'] was a second-team All-SCVAL pick as a freshman last year after having an incredible year with 10 goals and 13 assists. [player_tooltip player_id='20018' first='Nicole' last='Kim'], another sophomore, is a standout midfielder for Valley Christin and a force for the MVLA 2007 ECNL team.

DEFENDERS: [player_tooltip player_id='20246' first='Sophie' last='Murdock'] is a St. Francis junior who is committed to Stanford and is a force in the back. Ava Mitchell is one of the two seniors on the list as she was a first-team All-WCAL pick last year for Valley Christian. Aifoe Turner, who plays at Los Altos, was also a first-team all-league selection, and she is also an Ireland National player.

KEEPER: Bogan is just a sophomore, one of two sophomore on the Los Altos team, but she is a very good player for the MVLA 2007 ECNL team. She is very talented and should rise to the top as one of the best keepers in the area, and perhaps the best in the SCVLA.
