Chin is a center back on the Charlotte SA U16 ECNL team. She was named to the ECNL Mid-Atlantic First Team All Conference last season (in the 2010 age group). She has been called into multiple US Soccer Talent ID events in the past.

Chin comes from a soccer family with her older sister being a top player in the 2027 class. The younger Chin sister has firmly established herself as one of the best players in the 2029 class. She’s a two-time ECNL All-Conference honoree.

Now, she gets into a new squad with the age/school year change. She’s going to dominate. She’s a five-foot-nine center back who is a weapon on both ends of the field. Chin is going to shock some teams this season who may not have seen the quality she brings at the right center back spot.

Playing alongside her sister, the Chin duo brings a chemistry that stands out for Marvin Ridge. Additionally, she is a true lock down defender physical, disciplined, and difficult to beat off the ball. As a result, her ability to read play and shut down space has been a defining part this spring season.

This was one of the hardest spots to select. The Charlotte team went through group play with only one goal conceded. I thought the two center backs and the goal keeper were all outstanding. They all had impressive consistent performances in San Diego.

Chin is a very impressive central defender. For starters, she already has very good size for her age, but moves really fluidly and gracefully. She shows good physicality and toughness in the back, taking on attackers shoulder-to-shoulder and always looking to win the ball. She anticipates well and uses angles to cut attackers off, she steps into passing lanes well and she is very good in the air. Chin is also impressive with the ball at her feet, showing the ability to possess and to play balls that break lines.
