Expert Analysis
Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Vega played opposite to Ramos at left back and also stood out as one of Austin’s best players on the field. He was busy defensively, engaging in an interesting duel with Nashville’s winger London Lemus London Lemus F TN , and did well in denying him clear goalscoring opportunities with clean and well-timed defensive actions. Vega also appeared well offensively, combining efficiently with the wingers on his side and coming inside to finish chances – he fired two good shots from the edge of the box, which were saved by Nashville’s goalkeeper. The left back’s ability to provide great service off set pieces was also highly valuable in a match in which Austin didn’t get to consistently find space to create chances in the final third.
