About Audrey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a primary defender or Center Defending Midfielder, I pride myself on my high soccer IQ, technical & accurate pass completions to play the ball out of the back, speed, endurance, switching the field of play, and a strong leg to create opportunities up top while stopping forwards from shooting.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have always worked very hard in soccer as well as in the classroom. I enjoy learning and look forward to college. I don’t party or do anything like that. I’m just not into it. I enjoy being with my friends, sporting events, watching movies, skiing, crafts, legos (flower ones), playing games, etc.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m in the National Honor Society at Reedy.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve always had teamwork since I’ve played soccer since I was 4 and understand all 11 players contribute in their own way. As for a leader, this year in particular on my HS team I had to step up and be a leader. All the Seniors are hurt except one who is a goalie and is very laid back. We needed a leader on the field. I have learned to encourage the younger girls and be a leader on the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I moved clubs to FC Dallas this year after 4 years with the Dallas Texans. It was hard since I didn’t know any of the girls or coach. It wasn’t familiar. I was a starter, played all the time, etc. on other team and now I’m earning my spot. I knew I needed the challenge and change and things seem to be improving greatly with time.

What type of college are you looking for?

High academic, small - medium sized, great school and coach

Rush switched clubs this season and will make an already strong FC Dallas ECNL 08 team even stronger with her versatility and quality. She can be used as a center back or as a defensive midfielder and in either position she’ll bring defensive stability and quality on the ball. Because of her backcourt in track and field, she’s very strong and mobile, using these attributes to win duels and cover ground. Rush is also very determined and aggressive and attackers operating in her zone won’t have an easy task. She’s also very effective in leading her team’s buildup with smart passes and accurate switches.
