The FC Dallas Youth ECNL G08/09 team had a hotly contested matchup with Matchfit SURF ECNL G08/09 and Mia Slater put all the pressure she could on their defense until it finally cracked. Mia had a superb vision for the field that allowed her to continually beat her defenders and place passes and crosses into dangerous spots on the pitch. Defenders had to double her which allowed others to run free. Slater had a great first touch on the ball throughout the match and showed her speed on the dribble often. She was an easy pick to make the Honorable Mention list for the Best XI. Mia will be an amazing asset to the University of Missouri in 2027!

Slater is headed to The University of Missouri in 2027. The SEC is a physical, fast paced brand of soccer and Slater will have to adjust to the increased speed of play. She comes from an excellent FC Dallas club that has produced a ton of division 1 talent. Good fit.

Slater is a forward/winger on the Dallas Texans 09 ECNL. She is quick, physical, and skillful. She is only getting better as well. Slater is a great attacking talent in 1v1 situations. She uses her quickness and skill with both feet to her advantage. She is a tough player to defend. She is crafty with the ball and keeps defenders on their heels. She is a two-way impact player too. She influences the game with her defensive effort as well. Slater should be on the radar for scouts across the country with her ability to influence the game from the wing.
