Banta is a midfielder on the Tophat GA Gold 2010 team. She was named to the Girls Academy National Talent ID roster over the summer.
Banta has been a key player for the very successful Tophat program. She is a defensive midfielder with good technical skill. The aspect of her game that stands out from game film is her approach off the ball. She scans and checks her should constantly. She is always adjusting her position to help support the balance of her team.
Banta has the tactical approach of a veteran in that role, which makes her one of the best defensive midfielders in this class at the national level.

Banta impressed with her play at defensive midfielder. In the right position, she was able to intercept passes and cut out the center channel for the opposition. She was physical in the duel and won the ball cleanly when called upon.
