About Carmi

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Attacking forward who uses speed, skill, and aggressiveness to relentlessly impact outcomes.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have the mentality that there is no ball that I can’t get to and no play that I can’t make. Calm demeanor and an absolute team player. I love creating opportunities for my teammates and attacking at all times.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of National Junior Honor Society and Birdville HS FCA

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am the oldest of 5 sisters. My younger sisters mean everything to me and I love being there for them. They look up to me and I live life knowing that I represent them and my family above all. This responsibility has translated to my interactions with teammates, coaches, etc.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Had an injury 2 years ago that was tough on me emotionally. I was out for a month and a half, but not being able to play hurt more than the injury did. While I wanted to play extremely bad, I also learned more about myself than ever. I learned that while soccer is my passion, being happy with who I am outside of soccer was more important than anything. I have a great family and support system.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that will give me an opportunity to pursue my finance degree and develop me on my path to professional soccer. A motivational and fair coach is important to me. I have intrinsic motivation, but I like being pushed. I know I can’t become my best self on my own. I want an environment where I can continue to grow all around.

Headed to Abilene Christian University to continue her career in 2027. The DKSC ‘ last=”] talent is a big time athlete who uses her height to her advantage winning a ton of aerial duels. The Wildcats are 5-7-2 this season another team that recruits from their home state heavily. Good fit and I think Carney may have the opportunity to transfer up after 1 or 2 seasons as a starter.
