About Cora

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m the security blanket. I’m not flashy, I’m solid. I’m in position a lot which is why I don’t have to be flashy. My training since I started being a GK 4 years ago has a solid foundation on position. My style of play is to the point. I have a very accurate foot as well. I’m calm and collected in the back.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Once again, I’m calm and collected. I don’t show a lot of emotion, and I am direct. I’m very positive with my teammates, but you won’t see me being over the top. My teammates say I don’t give negative feedback on the field therefore they don’t get down on themselves.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest challenges have been overcoming injuries. My biggest one was April of 2024. The literal weekend in between my very prosperous high school season with Los Gatos and MVLA starting, I broke my finger in GK training. It was 4 weeks before the ECNL Showcase in Arizona. 2 months before 6/15. I think that injury greatly impacted my college future.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m open to exploring all different types. I do love SoCal and would love to be near my family here in NorCal.

The Los Gatos goalkeeper played a stellar match in regulation and in both overtime halves. Her key saves throughout the match carried her team to the penalty round. I counted at least 5 key saves on the day. Cora is great at reading angles of attack, and she can go up high to make aerial saves. She made a huge save that may have pressured the 5th shooter to try to convert, but the shot went wide, and it gave the Wildcats the Division 1 title.
