Aguirre had a very active shift at the defensive midfielder role for Sting, appearing well on both sides of the ball. She was very intense with her work off the ball and picked up many second balls, helping her team keep possession in the attacking half and maintain Albion under pressure. She also distributed the ball very well, quickly moving it from the crowded central area of the field and getting it to the wings. In one of her lateral passes, she assisted Pugsley for her to score the team’s second goal.

Aguirre is a defender/midfielder on the Sting Black 2011 team. She was outstanding at right back for her club team during the ECNL playoffs. She is part of a squad that won the ECNL Texas Conference last season. She proved her quality throughout the campaign and earned the attention as a top talent. Aguirre’s two-way play impressed me. She’s the outside back who has the technical ability to play in the center of the field. She is excellent with her combination passing and movement off the ball. Defensively, she is a great 1v1 defender, and shows plenty of quality as an elite support defender. Aguirre is a bright talent on one of the best teams in the country.
