She is the 2026 Gatorade State Player of the Year for California.   Last season, she guided her team to the SoCal Regional final. They lost a close match to the eventual Division 1 champions, Mater Dei. Felicity scored 29 goals and added 8 assists last season while earning the Trinity League MVP and a First-Team All-American.  She has also been in the USYNT pipeline since the age of 14 and has attended training camps and made it onto international rosters.  Felicity has also made her commitment to Texas A&M.  If she has another standout year, she could be considered for a National Player of the Year award. She could definitely be a player we will see more of on the USYNT and possibly the USWNT one day.

Nguyen’s tactical awareness and ability to find space make her a constant threat in the final third. As a left-footed striker, she excels at cutting inside and using sharp feints to get the ball on her strong foot. Against World Class. Nguyen’s instincts paid off as she timed her run and connected perfectly with a cross. Heading home a crucial goal to strengthen Surf’s championship push. No stranger to scoring, she’ll be a forward to watch as Surf prepares to take on Solar SC. Furthermore, expect her attacking presence to be a key factor as Surf continues its playoff run.

Nguyen had an awesome assist on a free kick which she won that she whipped into a great area for her teammate to head home. The Texas A&M commit is a top player and is always a fun watch. She glides with the ball at her feet on the dribble and is excellent in possession combining. Not shy to take on players 1 v 1 either and takes advantage of any opportunity to do so usually coming out on top.

The former ECNL Player of the Year is headed to the SEC and the Texas A&M Aggies in 2027. The Aggies are going to have one of if not the best midfields in the country with Nguyen’s commitment. I think this is a great choice for the San Diego Surf product as I am sure she had offers from just about everyone. But the style of play and a higher chance of playing time makes this an excellent fit.

Nguyen’s silky dribbling and clever passing was not enough to get the win for her Surf side but she stood out immensely even in defeat. There were times where she would get past two players masterfully only for the third player to either block her shot or cross.

Nguyen did not move many spots, but she is worth mentioning because she moved to the No. 2 player in the class. She is a phenomenal forward. Her understanding of the nuance of the position is not something that is taught. She understands the position in all ways. She knows how to make runs, how to time them, what space to occupy and that says nothing of her ball skills. She’s fantastic technically, she’s got great speed and vision, and her ability to finish is next level.

Great showing for this young star. Her passion and leadership qualities are a sight to behold. She led the line at center forward for this her team exceptionally. Not only scoring but getting her teammates involved all the way to another San Diego Surf National Championship. The clubs 3^rd this year. She is a certainty to be heavily recruited by schools from across the country.

Nguyen proved her quality as one of the best players in the country during this event. The Surf forward can score in a variety of ways – and showed that for her side in Washington. Nguyen’s goal scoring was the focal point of her success, but the speed and burst she showed on the ball revealed why this is a player with professional game potential.
