The midfielder started the match in the backline and had a solid shift there. Despite dominating possession, the Dynamo had to endure some moments of pressure from AC River on both halves, and Hinds helped them handle it very efficiently, stepping into good spots to stop plays and win the ball. His performance in possession was always very clean, and during the first half, in a moment in which the Dynamo managed to keep the ball in the attacking half for several minutes, he stepped up and showed good quality to support their offense with his accurate passing. Hinds moved to the midfield during the second half and continued to do solid defensive work, keeping opponents under pressure and making tackles.

Hinds was the Dynamo’s defensive anchor, and his solid game helped his team navigate difficult moments in the match. He started the match in midfield and was very good at covering ground and winning duels. In the second half, the Dynamo switched to three in the back as they wanted to push forward and relied on him to play in the center of their backline. Hinds performed very well there, using his excellent positioning and his ability to cover ground to stop many Solar transition plays. He also did great work on the ball, making smart moves to create space in the center of the field when under pressure and distributing the ball well – one of his passes set up the play that resulted in the team’s fifth goal.

With some players out, Hinds was asked to play a little more advanced than he typically does and he did a good job in the position. The midfielder wasn’t extremely creative or goal-dangerous, but was very intelligent with his passing and moved the ball very well in the central area of the field, quickly finding the team’s wide players with accurate passes. Hinds also made his usual contributions on the defensive side of the game, covering a lot of ground, stopping plays and making a major impact on the team’s defensive efforts.

Hinds’ energy in midfield was even more important for the Dynamo as they were down a player for over half of the match. He helped the team cover ground in midfield and match FC Dallas’ intensity, creating the conditions for them to go forward and score twice. The midfielder’s passing was also very consistent and efficient, helping the team keep possession and initiate offensive plays despite the disadvantage.
