The junior midfielder was Bridgeland’s main playmaker in the match, playing the No. 10 role with great intelligence. The Bears had some of their best moments in the match in transition plays set up by McHugh, who quickly and efficiently made the ball get to the team’s attackers with his smart passing. He also did well when he got the ball under pressure in the center of the field, picking the right passes or moves to create space. McHugh, who drew a couple of dangerous fouls just outside the penalty box, made an excellent run to the far post in the team’s goal, creating the separation needed for the pass to find him, and scored on a first-time shot.
