About Stella

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a strong, confident all around athlete. I have an aggressive attack and very accurate hands and ball distribution. My size allows me a huge vertical and I'm not afraid to dive and get dirty. For years I have been in the goal with older field players and have learned how to earn their respect. I am a solid communicator and understand how to scan the field and instruct the defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I thrive in high pressure environments and actually seek them out. I am not emotional and understand that when I make a mistake I have to get up and get back to work. I push myself to train beyond my comfort zone and do not let nerves affect my performance, in fact I feel like I perform better under pressure! I train on and off the field and take my nutrition and health very seriously.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in choir and basketball through school and take guitar lessons on my own. I have my referee certification. I have also done flag football in the past and really enjoyed it.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a goalkeeper I have learned a lot about earning the respect of my team and how to lead and communicate without being thought of as bossy or demanding. I am learning how to be a well rounded athlete and that grades and community are important. Regardless of where soccer takes me I have learned so much about discipline and leadership that I recognize a lot of kids my age don't understand.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

YES. In the spring of 2025 I herniated my S1-L5 disk. I went through PT, injections, but nothing helped so I had surgery in late August, which was the answer. I have been working SO HARD worked come back from injury. It has taught me a lot about not taking my health for granted, listening to my body and how to work through the struggle of coming back from injury.

What type of college are you looking for?

A top Soccer program, coaching program that values the goalkeeper position, coaches and program that is dedicated to building a great athlete and human.
