The PrepSoccer rankings for Texas in the class of 2023 and 2024 were release on Wednesday. These two classes contain national champions, youth national team players, and some of the top national recruits in each class. Read about the 2024 class here.

Depth is the keyword for Texas. The current rankings for the class of 2023 is 45 players deep, our largest ranking class yet. And it will likely expand to 60 players during the next update. There is a plethora of talent available from the Lone Star State with many of those players already committed to college programs.

In this debut ranking, Solar SC holds the top two spots in the state rankings, but there is a balance after that with five different clubs represented in the top 10.

No. 1 [player_tooltip player_id="26810" first="Jaedyn" last="Shaw"], Solar SC 03/04 - The talented midfielder from Dallas might only be the No. 1 player for this update. The Prep Soccer rankings consist of only amateur players. Shaw trained with professional side Washington Spirit in the preseason and is rumored to still be a player that the club wants to sign to a professional contract. It's been a long time since Shaw has played against players her age so it's no surprise she is looking for the next challenge against professionals. The skillful attacking prospect is a North Carolina commit for the class of 2023 if she decides to follow the college route.

NWSL's Washington Spirit remains keen on signing US youth intl [player_tooltip player_id="26810" first="Jaedyn" last="Shaw"], 17. Coach Kris Ward: "She's been really good. Very exciting player. I don't know where things stand. I rely on Ben [Olsen] for a lot of that. I know they're having conversations with the league." (1/2)
— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) March 17, 2022
No. 4 [player_tooltip player_id="26725" first="Gabrielle" last="Ceballos"], Classics Elite 05 - Ceballos is one of those rare hybrids in the club game. Listing her as a midfielder and a defender is an honest assessment as she is great in both roles and could be day-one starter in either spot. She is smooth on the ball that it feels criminal to play her anywhere except at center midfield. However, she is going to be a great center back in the right system thanks to her vision and passing - plus there is a bite to her game to put a challenge in. The question will be how she adapts when the game is faster and she does not have much time on the ball to make decisions. No. 9 [player_tooltip player_id="26358" first="Taylor" last="Cheatham"], FC Dallas 05 - Cheatham is joined by a number of players from the stacked FC Dallas 05 squad on the state rankings list. Cheatham is the point of the attack for her high school team, and fills a similar role at the club level. The forward is committed to UCLA and a key piece of that recruiting class for the Bruins. She has a lethal right foot and pace to get behind the defense. She is a capable finisher with her left foot. She could play on either wing or in the center in an attacking formation. Right now, she is one of the players you have to mark in the ECNL. She has game-breaking abilities. No. 11 [player_tooltip player_id="26317" first="Caroline" last="Dill"], Lonestar 03/04 - Dill is one of six goalkeepers in the state rankings. She comes in at No. 2 for the position. The 5-foot-10 shot stopper is an impressive athlete. She covers the full net with her quick reflexes and sound footwork. She is an Oklahoma State commit. No. 27 [player_tooltip player_id="27086" first="Mia" last="Fuss"], Sting Austin 05 - Fuss is a player on the radar to move up the list in the future. She is an attacking talent who has impressed in the ECNL this season. She has quick feet and a finisher's mentality. She is good in aerial duels and makes darting runs into the box. She also runs track for her school, so she has next level type of speed.
