This weekend will be an uncharacteristic slow one in the Texas Conference of the ECNL Girls League as matches scheduled to take place in Colorado were canceled due to weather conditions, but some promising teams will still be in action in Texas and Oklahoma and here are three of them:

Sting Dallas Black G06/05

The side from Dallas returns home after five straight road games and will try to build on the momentum created by their 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids last Sunday. Sting, who have three wins, three losses and one tie so far in the season, will face crosstown rivals Dallas Texans on Sunday. Their starting goalkeeper, [player_tooltip player_id='86632' first='Savanah' last='Finley'] is capable of making big-time saves and she gets good protection from physical center backs [player_tooltip player_id='27296' first='Taylor' last='Yablonski'] and [player_tooltip player_id='26440' first='Alyson' last='Guthrie']. At outside back, [player_tooltip player_id='26828' first='Jetney' last='Cook'], [player_tooltip player_id='27231' first='Savannah' last='Wylie'] and Ava Bradford offer different skill sets. Ava Goodin bosses the midfield with her high-energy, two-way game helped by [player_tooltip player_id='26874' first='Katarina' last='Campbell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='26613' first='Catherine' last='Wagner']. Offensively, [player_tooltip player_id='41132' first='Ally' last='Pinto'] and [player_tooltip player_id='26410' first='Alexandra' last='Love'] are dangerous from wider positions while [player_tooltip player_id='26467' first='Anna' last='Niedermeier'] offers a physical presence up top.

Tulsa SC G07

The side from Tulsa will have a big weekend, facing in-state rivals OK Energy FC on the road on Saturday. Tulsa have been in excellent form in the division, having secured seven wins, two losses and one tie and are undefeated in their last five matches entering this weekend's encounter. Tulsa have a pair of talented keepers in [player_tooltip player_id='25404' first='Jaylyn' last='Hammond'] and Anika Patton and outside backs [player_tooltip player_id='25450' first='Madelynn' last='Goss'] and Landry Turner are both very skilled on both sides of the ball. One of Tulsa's strengths is the depth of their offense as [player_tooltip player_id='25433' first='Landry' last='Fieker'], Hayden Heiple, [player_tooltip player_id='25478' first='Ragon' last='Francy'], [player_tooltip player_id='25335' first='Annabelle' last='Edwards'], Addison Castleberry, Hailey Green and [player_tooltip player_id='25502' first='Sydney' last='Hopper'] all have the potential to be difference-makers in the final third.

Classics Elite G08

The San Antonio side will host the always-tough Sting Austin team on Saturday. Classics Elite are still looking to find their best form in the season as they currently have two wins, seven losses and one tie, but had promising performances last weekend, beating Dallas Texans and going down 2-1 to a strong FC Dallas team. They typically have [player_tooltip player_id='26371' first='Addison' last='Brown'] between the posts and she's a solid goalkeeper. The backline is anchored by strong center backs [player_tooltip player_id='112767' first='Leona' last='King'], one of the team's individual standouts, and Ashtyn Huber. In midfield, [player_tooltip player_id='26565' first='Brooke' last='Benne'], Layla Mullaney and Meredith Plank are typically the team's main contributors. The attack is led by Addison Briscoe, [player_tooltip player_id='112764' first='Jocelyn' last='Flores'], [player_tooltip player_id='112765' first='Ghenima' last='Ibaroudene'] and Savanah Moya.
