NORCO, California - The Girls Academy Champions Cup was held in Southern California at the Silverlakes Sports Complex. The event brought in teams from the U13 through U19 age groups. The U14/2010 group featured some of the top talent in the country.

The attacking group was especially impressive from this age group. Check out the individual standouts from the games below.

Dahlia Paz, Fram 2010 - Paz played as a center forward and really made an impact for her side on both sides of the ball. She scored a great goal in the second half against Rush. She also had some key passes to set up chances for her teammates throughout the game. She has excellent vision and can slice apart the defense either on the dribble or the pass. She is very good at playing with her back to the goal too. She keeps close control of the ball while under pressure and makes good decisions on the ball. She looks like a top prospect from 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='200426' first='Alex' last='Kasow'], Tophat 2010 GA Gold - Kasow is one of the bright attacking prospects from the Girls Academy. She is a talented dribbler with pace and skill. She impressed against Utah Celtic. She had a brilliant assist on [player_tooltip player_id='200428' first='Brooklynn' last='Mulberry']'s goal in the first half.

[player_tooltip player_id='275282' first='Isabelle' last='York'], Tophat 10 GA Gold - York is a skillful winger/attacking talent for Tophat. She is great on the ball and can navigate through defenders in tight spaces. She was a standout from the Tophat group.

[player_tooltip player_id='280214' first='Leighton' last='Gwynn'], [program_tooltip program_id='283295' first='City' last='SC'] 10 - Gwynn was one of the top players of the event. The center forward for [program_tooltip program_id='283295' first='City' last='SC'] was making impactful plays for her team all over the field. She scored the lone goal on a long range bomb in the 1-0 win over FC Virginia on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='210625' first='Rhea' last='Steil'], HTX 10 - Steil scored a great free kick goal in the game against Nationals on Saturday. It was the only goal that the Nationals conceded during the event. Outside of the goal, she showed good footwork and ball control to keep possession and create chances for her side. She also has a pretty good start-stop move that was effective in creating space against defenders. [player_tooltip player_id='210644' first='Kiana' last='Puna'] was also outstanding for HTX.

Naya Edwards, Baltimore Armour 10 - Edwards is another standout from the Baltimore attack. She is good on the ball, quick in her actions, and tough for a defense to contain. Baltimore played through her at the center of the attack and Edwards found success in that role.

Brynn Dwyer, South Shore Select 10 - Dwyer is a winger on the South Shore Select team. She was a standout from their win over Ukrainian Nationals on the last day of the event in this age group. She showed a great first touch and a knack for playing quickly out of pressure. Her combination play with the Eloise Picard was excellent and a key to the offense for her side. Picard scored a brilliant goal on the opening tally on Saturday. It was a thunder strike. Molly Doherty was also a standout in the midfield for South Shore.

Bella McFarland, CUP 10 - McFarland was one of my favorite players from this age group. The mentality, skill, and potential are all there for a top level player. McFarland is a winger/wide player who has a great two-way game. Her intensity defensively really stood out from the games. She was an impactful player for her team. No. 65 was also a standout for CUP in the midfield.

NORCO, California - The Girls Academy Champions Cup was held in Southern California at the Silverlakes Sports Complex. The event brought in teams from the U13 through U19 age groups. The U14/2010 group featured some of the top talent in the country.
