We've already highlighted some of the players who had strong performances in the matches we got to watch, so now we'll expand it a little bit more, splitting the standouts by division and position. Defense was a big part of their success as the team conceded just three goals and having Scott between the post played a major role in it. I got to watch her in a 2-1 win over Challenge USC RL 07 and she made several big saves in the match. She was impressive by getting a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Solar SC RL NTX 07 White while displaying great consistency between the posts. Magaha showed great reflexes and a great diving ability, which allowed her to get to balls well outside her body range. She got a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Houstonians FC USC RL 07, but also showed quality in a 2-0 loss to Lonestar SC 07 GA. Yeoman was put to work a lot in that match and showed good technique to make saves and great quickness to leave the goal and make a key intervention in a transition play. The goalkeeper has the privilege of playing behind one of the strongest backlines of the state, but she is always ready to step up and make plays when needed, be it dealing with crosses or handling long-distance shots. Gutierrez is also very calm and efficient on the ball, making good decisions with her passing and executing them precisely. Splitting the goalkeeping duties with Danica Ly, Brandsberg-Dahl was in excellent form for them, remaining engaged and delivering strong saves when her team was attacked. She made an excellent stop in a 3-0 win over Dallas Texans RL 07 by using her legs to deflect a shot in a 1v1 situation early in the match.
