ECNL Finals: Texas Teams – FC Dallas 07

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After long and competitive nine months of action, the ECNL season is coming to an end and only the best eight teams in each age group will get to appear in the National Finals, which will take place in Richmond, Virginia, from July 10-14.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some club teams from Texas earned a spot among those and will be competing for the national title in just a few days. As we prepare for the highest point of the club season, we'll feature some of these sides ahead of the start of the tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>FC Dallas 07</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the strongest teams in Texas, FC Dallas 07 finished in third place in the Texas Conference, getting 14 wins and just one loss during the season. Although not super physical, the defender is excellent at reading the game and is always in the right spot to get stops. Hernandez is very intelligent and mobile and holds her own against anyone in 1v1 situations inside and around the penalty box. She's very active on and off the ball and consistently finds ways to connect passes and create plays. Belcher has great movement off the ball, at times getting the ball from the backline to push it forward and connect with the attacking players. Because of her excellent all-around game, she can play in different roles for the team, lining up as a striker, as a playmaker, or on the wings. One of McLanahan's main interesting skills is her ability to move off the ball, which helps her find themselves in great spots to get on the ball and attack the opposing backline.
