The USLW League is a fantastic level of play. Made up of mostly collegiate, former professional, and semi-professional players (all cash paid under the table of course). If you can compete in this league, as a high schooler you are ahead of the curve. I've noticed a trend in youth soccer and what I feel everyone should understand. Players are essentially free agents, they are playing for whatever the best opportunity may be on that particular day. Clubs should not be restrictive or angry with that. The player and their parents have to be supported by the club in any decision that is made. I encourage clubs to congratulate and promote the player for such a great opportunity. Here are some players that are not only playing in the USLW but making significant contributions to their teams success.

I am cheating a little bit here as she hasn't even graduated middle school yet. But I still feel like she qualifies as Siedel is playing major minutes for the Oakland Soul in the USLW earning a start and playing very well in their first game against the teams 2-3 loss to the Stockton Cargo. Imagine stepping on the field with a player like Gianna Riley at such a young age. Incredible experience for the young player.

The youth national team defensive midfielder is playing for the SF Glens USLW team. Always so tidy in possession, a true pivot offensively and exceptional ball winner.

Also scored a hat-trick for SF Glens against Academica. Johnson & Leifried were flat out menaces for their older opposition this past weekend. They were named as Co-Player's of the Match for the Glen's. I'm sure the Glen's will invite Johnson back for the remainder of the season.

Fresh off a 10 day trial with Gotham FC, Leifried scored a hat-trick for SF Glen's against Academica in a 9-0 win. Great first touch and her first instinct is almost always to go forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='202653' first='Everleigh' last='Porter'] is the only player at Olympic Club that is under the age of 18. She played the entire game against [program_tooltip program_id='283405' first='Marin' last='FC'] in a 3-1 win for her side. OC stand in 2nd behind the impressive Stockton Cargo in the Norcal Division. Porter impresses me every time I watch her play she's so clean on the ball and always seems to have time on the ball. Xavi like.

She came off the bench for the California Storm and was a great addition to the game once she came on. She also scored the lone goal for her team's 1-4 loss. She has such a wide range of passing. The Stanford commit is a female version of Xabi Alonso.
