SAN DIEGO, California - The Girls ECNL playoffs continued on Saturday with most of the age groups in action. The 2010 age group had their second day of the competition.

The weather seemed perfect on the day with 70 degree temperatures and a light breeze. However, cramps did become an issue late in the most of the games. The late-game heroics were also on full display with many teams snagging points in the final seconds of games.

Below is a list of the individual performances that stood out from the games I saw on Saturday.

Aubrey Varian, [program_tooltip program_id='283395' first='Legends' last='FC'] - Varian was excellent in the first half in the win over [program_tooltip program_id='283662' first='Indy' last='Eleven'] Pro Academy. She made the right plays when her team needed her to step up.

[player_tooltip player_id='186187' first='Zoe' last='Morello'], [program_tooltip program_id='283395' first='Legends' last='FC'] - Morello was the other center back for Legends and she was brilliant as well. She had a couple of timely tackles to stop the opposition.

[player_tooltip player_id='199891' first='Koi' last='Edwards'], [program_tooltip program_id='283395' first='Legends' last='FC'] - Edwards was brilliant in the attack for Legends. She set up chances with her hold-up play and passing.

Hailey Acevedo, [program_tooltip program_id='283395' first='Legends' last='FC'] - Acevedo really impressed with her play in the midfield. She's got an excellent first touch and plays with her head up. She was connecting passes and pinging the ball around the field.

Saige Usher, [program_tooltip program_id='283662' first='Indy' last='Eleven'] Pro Academy - Usher is an imposing player on the field. She plays as a target player and can influence the game with her on-ball action and the attention she commands off the ball. She battled against the talented Legends backline.

[player_tooltip player_id='274289' first='Jillian' last='Kruer'], [program_tooltip program_id='283662' first='Indy' last='Eleven'] Pro Academy - Kruer's performance raised some eyebrows on Saturday. She should be on the radar for the Youth National Team. She has the skill and determination to be a big-time prospect from the 2028 class. She is a full-field runner and a two-way impact player. She was excellent for her side.

Macey Hamelmann, [program_tooltip program_id='283662' first='Indy' last='Eleven'] Pro Academy - Hamelmann showed off her defensive quality with a timely slide tackle to stop a Legends attack.

Emma Kelly, [program_tooltip program_id='283723' first='Real' last='Colorado'] - Kelly scored the opener for [program_tooltip program_id='283723' first='Real' last='Colorado'] on a penalty kick. She also had a great cross that created a chance for her team.

[player_tooltip player_id='200424' first='Haley' last='Kener'], [program_tooltip program_id='283358' first='GSA' last=''] - Kener made a diving save on a shot in the first half in the game against [program_tooltip program_id='283723' first='Real' last='Colorado']. Anna Hall also had some standout moments for [program_tooltip program_id='283358' first='GSA' last=''].

Scarlett Viets, OK Energy - Viets' standout moment was in the second half when she made a full field sprint to get back on the far post to block a shot off a cross with a slide tackle. It was a terrific effort from the winger.

[player_tooltip player_id='279101' first='Gentry' last='Fieker'], OK Energy - I believe Fierker is a new addition to OK Energy after previously playing with [program_tooltip program_id='283506' first='Tulsa' last='SC']. The midfielder has the quality to take over the game and she showed that at times against [program_tooltip program_id='283341' first='FC' last='Pride'].

Avery Jarrells, [program_tooltip program_id='283341' first='FC' last='Pride'] - Jarrells was the best player on the field when I was present for the game. The midfielder ran through tackles, dictated the pace of the game, and put the final touch on a goal. She had a great header on a corner kick from Veda Stahly for a goal. Jarrells was impressive against some top rated talent.

Eleanor Rush, [program_tooltip program_id='283303' first='Concorde' last='Fire'] Platinum - Rush's ability to accurately ping a pass from the run of play was on full display against So Cal Blues. She was pulling the strings and finding the key passes to unlock the opposition.

[player_tooltip player_id='207258' first='Julie' last='Melhuish'], [program_tooltip program_id='283303' first='Concorde' last='Fire'] Platinum - Melhuish's effort was incredible. She was full on from the start of the game to the final whistle. She was committed to her team's success and a major reason for the victory.

Cassidy Leeper, [program_tooltip program_id='283303' first='Concorde' last='Fire'] Platinum - Leeper's corner kick was expertly placed and resulted in a goal for Fire. I think she got credit with the assist as there was a touch on the way, but she hit it perfectly.

[player_tooltip player_id='200443' first='Bryanna' last='Melhuish'], [program_tooltip program_id='283303' first='Concorde' last='Fire'] Platinum - Melhuish was a standout defender for her side. She had a couple of timely tackles. She also uses her body well and shielded attackers off the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='202108' first='Vivian' last='Beary'], So Cal Blues - Beary, the center back, scored on free kick from around midfield. She bombed the kick for So Cal Blues' lone goal of the game. She also had some standout moments defensively for her side.

[player_tooltip player_id='223014' first='Amiyah' last='Curry'], Fairfax Virginia Union - Curry scored on a heck of an individual effort to dribble past the opposition and slot the finish home. Her long stride and close control makes her a formidable threat to score anytime from the wing.

Ava Benevento, Fairfax Virginia Union - One of the top defenders of the day, Benevento battled relentlessly against La Roca. She was fearless against the Utah side - moved her feet well, controlled the opposition with her body position, and times her tackle.

Avery Walbruch, La Roca - Walbruch immediately stood out for her skill. She's excellent in body position when receiving the ball so she can eliminate wasted touches and get in on goal immediately. She's got excellent skill and can hit the ball about as well as any player in this age group. She's a constant threat on goal.

Amara Akoh, [program_tooltip program_id='283251' first='Atlanta' last='Fire'] - Akoh was a key part of the Atlantan Fire defense that limited the WNY Flash attack. She stood out in her ability to win the second ball and clear danger for her side.

Eden Shaw, [program_tooltip program_id='283251' first='Atlanta' last='Fire'] - Shaw, the six-foot tall goalkeeper, made a wonderful save in the second half for her side in the win over WNY Flash. Audrey Camiolo was a standout in goal for Fire too.

Marley Skalski, WNY Flash - Skalski had some moments of brilliance on the day. She started the second half brightly and created a few chances immediately. She has the quality to beat the first defender off the dribble consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='277746' first='Olivia' last='Newcome'], [program_tooltip program_id='283284' first='Charlotte' last='SA'] - Newcome has great hands and those were on display in the win over [program_tooltip program_id='276692' first='Nationals' last='']. She snagged a cross at the high point in traffic while dealing with the wind on Saturday. It was a remarkable effort from the young keeper but one of many in her shutout victory over [program_tooltip program_id='276692' first='Nationals' last=''].

[player_tooltip player_id='214130' first='Carsen' last='Record'], [program_tooltip program_id='283284' first='Charlotte' last='SA'] - Record is the type of forward who can take on multiple defenders and occupy the opposition to create chances for her teammates. She also has the quality to finish chances. She was brilliant against [program_tooltip program_id='276692' first='Nationals' last=''].

[player_tooltip player_id='273111' first='Hannah' last='Yu'], [program_tooltip program_id='276692' first='Nationals' last=''] - Yu is a skillful midfielder who plays with poise and her head up. She finds key passes and scans quickly for options.

Cora Cherilus, Bethesda SC - Cherilus was the vocal leader for her side in the close battle against FL Premier. The center back was excellent when called upon.

Norihanna Korzenko, SUSA - Korzenko madę some good plays defensively for her side in the loss to AHFC on Saturday. She also showed quality with her passing.

[player_tooltip player_id='214156' first='Easton' last='Hendrix'], [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] - Hendrix impressed with her effort off the ball. She did so much away from the ball to set herself up for success when the pass was played into her mark that she almost always won the interception. She's a smart defender and a tireless worker.

[player_tooltip player_id='210635' first='Taylor' last='Ladd'], [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] - Ladd was fouled three times in the opening 10 minutes. Her quick feet and ability to cut on tight angles made her a target of frustrated fouls early and often. [player_tooltip player_id='210632' first='Maura' last='Hayes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='280889' first='Alaia' last='Harrington'] were also standouts for [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] in the midfield.

Kahali'a Huddleston, [program_tooltip program_id='283476' first='Slammers' last='FC'] HB Koge - Huddleston progresses the ball well off the dribble and opens up the attack for her side. She is also an outstanding defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='186182' first='Giselle' last='Nacelli'], [program_tooltip program_id='283476' first='Slammers' last='FC'] HB Koge - Nacelli scored the opener for her side in a 2-0 win over [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']. Great awareness from the center forward to follow up a chance and put it away.

Amada Rodriguez, [program_tooltip program_id='283476' first='Slammers' last='FC'] HB Koge - Rodriguez was a shutdown outside back on the day. She was dominant on her side of the field. Olivia Madera and [player_tooltip player_id='266732' first='Izrie' last='Chacon'] were also standouts in the Slammers defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='160001' first='Ella' last='Bott'], [program_tooltip program_id='283476' first='Slammers' last='FC'] HB Koge - Bott and the Slammers midfield were stellar against [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] and controlled the game. Morgan Woolforde and [player_tooltip player_id='186184' first='Arya' last='Pfeiffer'] were the other key players of the midfield.
