Defensively, Milam covered space well and had a great understand of when to step to the ball and make a tackle. It was difficult for the Fram offense to create with Milam acting as a disrupter. Her positioning and her physical presence prevented attackers from finding much success down the right side when she was playing there. Constantly on the move in the midfield, she was often open for passes and was able to set up her forwards in the attacking third of the field. She has a great understand of how and when to press defenders and found a lot of success.
