Five Goalies to Know from the Updated Texas 2026 Boys Rankings

<p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2026 Texas Boys State Ranking was updated last week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted.</p>   <p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always having in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at teh next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/boys/2026-rankings/">Texas 2026 Boys State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2026 Boys State Rankings now feature 115 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list.</p>   <p>We start with the goalkeepers:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Aristizabal is the top-ranked goalkeeper in the class and appears in tenth place overall on the Rankings. A Puerto Rican Youth international, he plays for [program_tooltip program_id='283612' first='Austin' last='FC']'s U19 team in MLS Next (where he was selected to the league's All-Star Game last season) and is also part of the squad of their II team in the MLS Next PRO. Aristizabal's game is built on its solid technical foundations, as he's a goalkeeper who stands out for making the right choices between the posts and for consistently performing his actions in a very clean way. He's part of the [program_tooltip program_id='283657' first='Houston' last='Dynamo'] Academy, playing more consistently with their U19 team in MLS Next, but also making it to gameday rosters with the II team at MLS Next Pro. A physical and well-rounded goalkeeper, he made great progress over the last year or so, and raised his stock. Kerimov uses his length extremely well between the posts and does very well in the air too, doing a good job of navigating the penalty box and getting to crosses. He recently switched clubs, leaving the [program_tooltip program_id='283639' first='Dallas' last='Hornets'] and joining [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] U19 in MLS Next. The move was prompted by an excellent season with the Hornets, in which he stood out as a consistent goalkeeper, who uses his size extremely well to make stops between the posts. He plays high school soccer for Strake Jesuit, where he's one of the captains, and club for [program_tooltip program_id='283451' first='RISE' last='SC'], as part of their U19 team in the ECNL League. He's a very efficient shot-stopper, who's very explosive when going for the ball and who thrives with his positioning between the posts. Macouzet also does well in set pieces, showing great intelligence to navigate the penalty box and get to the ball. He plays high school soccer for Heritage in Dallas and is part of Solar SC Academy U19 in the ECNL League. Combining good size and solid technical skills, Rojas has an interesting skillset, which he continues to develop. He transmits a lot of confidence to his team with his ability to make big plays and to consistently handle whatever goes his way between the posts.
