The ECNL League 2025-2026 season continues to progress every weekend, with matches on both genders taking place all over the country for the first of several months of action that will follow.

Prep Soccer Texas will closely follow the progress of the ECNL season for local boys and girls teams for the next several months, attending matches and showcases held in the Lone Star State to produce articles, photos and social media posts that highlight the impressive performances and accomplishments from our players.

On Saturday, October 11, we were at the South Campus, in Houston, where Rise SC B08/07 played [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] White B08/07. After conceding twice in two minutes in the first half, Rise came back to secure an important 3-2 victory.

Rise SC B08/07 vs. [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] White B08/07 - Photos

[program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] scored for the first time in the 13th minute, when midfielder Felix Aguilar Hernandez delivered great service in the box from a free kick and defender Andrew Gomez rose above everyone to head it into the back of the net. A few seconds after Rise restarted the match, Dallas won the ball and fed forward Nicholas Terry, who scored. Rise got one back before the halftime break with defender Jesus Vasquez, who picked up a rebound after a corner kick and converted.

Vasquez was also involved in the equalizer, scored in the 20th minute of the second half, sending a perfect cross that found midfielder Bryant Palacios on the far post to head it home. The home team kept pushing and got the go-ahead goal in the 37th minute, when forward [player_tooltip player_id='15886' first='Brayden' last='Lehner'] redirected a shot by midfielder Samer Dimassi into the back of the net.

Rise are in second place in the Texas Conference after this weekend's results, accumulating 17 points, with five wins and two ties - they will now visit the Colorado Rapids on October 18. [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] are 13th with eight points (two wins, four losses, two ties), and will face [program_tooltip program_id='283397' first='[program_tooltip program_id='278668' first='Lonestar' last='']' last='SC'] Red at home on October 18.

Players of the Match

Lehner started the match playing as a second forward and was very involved in Rise's offensive plays in the first half. He moved very well in the final third, finding pockets of space to get on the ball and play smart first-time passes that found his teammates in good spots. He came back near the end of the match, this time playing the striker role, and converted the only opportunity he had, redirecting a shot with a left-footed finish to score the game-winning goal for his side.

A left-back, Vasquez had a solid two-way performance for Rise, holding his own defensively and getting involved in the team's first two goals. He popped up in a good spot inside the penalty box after a corner kick to score the team's first goal and assisted Palacios with an excellent cross on the second. Vasquez showed good quality on the ball, supporting the team's buildup and engaging in good combination plays in the attacking half. The outside back also did solid defensive work, controlling his zone without any major issues.

Saggiomo came off the bench during the match and significantly improved Rise's ability to circulate the ball. A defensive midfielder, he distributed the ball intelligently, finding teammates in good spots and making his team play more directly. He was very strong in 1v1 duels and used his dribbling ability and pace to make plays out wide. Dimassi also combined very well with Vasquez out wide and was involved in two of the team's three goals, giving Vasquez the ball for him to cross in the second and firing the shot that found Lehner in the third.
