Top 5 Talents from the Updated California Rankings

Our 2029 California girls rankings have just been updated and one thing is safe to say. California continues to produce the most talented players in the country. This group has incredible depth and there are players on this list whom I think have the potential to play for the full national team one day if they keep developing their game. Only time will tell of course but here are some young ladies who are absolutely dominating at this point in their career.    Just getting back from Spain competing for the USYNT Siedel is now with her High School squad Bishop O'Dowd. The Dragons are a threat to win a state championship with Siedel as one of their key contributors to that cause. It is hard to look at Siedel's game and notice any glaring weaknesses. She has so much to offer on a soccer field with elite athleticism, superlative technique and an incredible competitive engine.     Sullivan is the top ranked outside back in the country in the 2029 class. And for good reason she flies up and down the flanks with and without the ball. Her ability to affect the game in all 3 phases of the game is remarkable. The young San Juan product has the ability to turn defense into offense like no other player in the country in the 2029 class. It is not uncommon to see her steal a ball then proceed to dribble the length of the field and either score or assist on the other end.     Lomeli is an excellent central midfielder that is originally a Cal Odyssey product now playing with [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] and a Freshmen standout at Buchanan High School who are one of the top ranked programs in the state at 13th. She always seems to know what she's going to do with the ball before she gets it. Extremely efficient player who doesn't waste a touch and puts her teammates in excellent positions to succeed. Her ability to find a gap in the defense and play a through ball with the appropriate weight is unmatched in her age group.     Rodriguez has so much to like about her game. Amazing left foot that can deliver power when needed and finesse when required as well. Tough as nails defensively and an excellent crosser of the ball from the left flank. She is strong, fast, and very technical. Her Harvard Westlake side are a top 50 program in California and she is making a big impact as a freshmen. Her club side Slammers HBK are always a threat to win an ECNL National Championship. She has been with the Mexican Youth National team and should be strongly considered for the USA moving forward.     Big, fast, strong and technical 9 who is excellent with her back to goal and loves to drop a little deeper than most center forwards to get the ball and facilitate. If you're a program who builds around your #9 Cabigon should be your top priority in this 2029 class. She can be a 4 year starter at a power 4 school. If she gets service she will produce.
