Austin scored their first goal in the 30th minute of the first half, when striker [player_tooltip player_id='288405' first='Jacob' last='Peale'] got on the end of a cross sent from forward [player_tooltip player_id='93377' first='Dominic' last='Dono'] and deflected it with a first-time, left-footed shot into the back of the net. Peale was also involved in the team's second goal, feeding midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='148169' first='Christian' last='Ayala'] with a one-touch pass in a combination play and setting him up to score with a low, left-footed shot in the 40th minute of the second half.

Peale had a key role in Austin's victory, getting involved in both his team's goals and offering a solid presence for them up top. He was excellent in the play of the first goal, pacing his run to remain onside and attacking the ball at the right time to deflect the cross with a left-footed shot. Peale showed great energy to fight with Dallas' defenders up top, getting on the end of long balls and making runs behind the backline. Peale also did well when dropping back to get involved in his team's playmaking, connecting good passes and making strong runs through the middle. The forward worked hard off the ball, too, pressing opposing defenders and doing well when he dropped to help his team defend set pieces.

The most offensive player in Austin's midfield trio, Ayala did very well at pulling the strings for them. He was excellent with his movement, floating around the center of the field, and he managed to get on the ball frequently, providing a consistent passing option for his teammates. Ayala was very reliable and productive on the ball, standing out with his smart distribution and his ability to dribble in tight spaces. His execution was very good in the team's second goal, as he engaged in a quick give-and-go with Peale before appearing open inside the box and showing calm and composure to send the ball into the back of the net by sliding it under Dallas's goalkeeper. The midfielder also made an impact in set pieces, firing dangerous shots on target and providing great service to his teammates.

Dono spent time on both wings and was very active and productive for Austin. He was very direct and aggressive in possession, immediately turning towards the attacking half and going at defenders with his pace and dribbling skills. Dono made some good plays out wide, but also showed quality to come inside and operate as an additional playmaker. He was excellent in the play of Austin's first goal, picking the right time to send a cross into the box and getting the ball at the perfect spot for Peale to deflect it. The winger also showed great commitment, contributing to the team's defensive efforts until the final whistle.

The defensive midfielder had an excellent performance in the match, contributing to Austin's defensive solidity. Moncrief did very well when shielding his team's backline, showing great energy and determination to win duels in the center of the field and superior positioning to drift wide and make stops when needed. He was a key piece in Austin's buildup, dropping deeper to get the ball from the center backs and combining with fellow midfielders [player_tooltip player_id='148169' first='Christian' last='Ayala'] and [player_tooltip player_id='146769' first='Luke' last='Chamberlain'] to break Dallas' press. Moncrief also stepped into the attacking half on some occasions, not hesitating before taking the space in front of him with strong runs through the middle.

Seiterle was one of the pillars of Austin's defensive system, playing a key role in the team's efforts to contain Dallas' talented offensive players. Playing as a right-sided center back, he formed a strong duo with [player_tooltip player_id='148170' first='Jonathan' last='Ayala'], with both being very consistent and efficient. Seiterle was very good at winning duels and defending the penalty box, but also held his own when he had to handle Dallas' pacey attacking players in space. The center back was very calm in possession and showed good passing vision and range, connecting nice long passes out of the back.

Vo was one of Dallas'best players in the match, keeping his level of play high and his errors low during the entire time he was on the field. Playing as a left wingback, he was very solid defensively, reading long passes well and getting to the ball first, and having success in most of the 1v1 duels out wide. Vo also did well in possession, passing the ball intelligently and helping Dallas progress it into the attacking half. In the second half, when his team pushed more strongly for an equalizer, he was more present in the attacking half, stepping into the penalty box on a few occasions, but couldn't find the forwards with his crosses.

Alvarez was Dallas' most consistent and reliable midfielder throughout the match. Playing a box-to-box role, he competed with Austin's talented central players, matching their intensity in the center of the field. Alvarez was very active defensively, helping occupy the space in front of the backline and winning duels at a good rate. He also appeared well on the ball, connecting accurate long passes and stepping into the final third to support the team's playmaking.
