5 Midfielders to Know From the Updated Texas 2028 Girls Rankings

<p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2028 Texas Girls State Ranking was updated earlier this week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted.</p>   <p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always having in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at the next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/girls/2028-rankings/">Texas 2028 Girls State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2028 Girls State Rankings now feature 155 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list.</p>   <p>These midfielders are part of the Rankings:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Muniz is the fifth-best midfielder on the list and appears in 22nd place overall. She captains [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] G09 in the ECNL League and plays high school soccer for Allen. A technical and intelligent player, Muniz controls the game from the center of the field with a rare combination of reading the game extremely well and executing passes with excellent timing and accuracy. She constantly looks for the ball and does good things with it, making great decisions in possession and helping her team move it upfield. She's the captain of HTX G10 in the Girls Academy League and competes at the high school level with Shadow Creek, where she occasionally plays as a forward. An extremely well-rounded player, Puna is central in her team's playing system, getting on the ball almost every time they have possession and making things happen from midfield. She's skilled enough to operate in tight spaces, has tremendous passing range and is very hard to dispossess when making runs on the ball because of how quickly she progresses and how well she uses her body to shield it. She plays club soccer for Sting Royal G10 in the ECNL League and is part of Keller Central's high school program. Also capable of playing on the backline, she's very active at patrolling the center of the field, standing out for her excellent positioning and mobility and the perfect timing of her defensive actions. She stars for [program_tooltip program_id='283296' first='Classics' last='Elite'] G09 in the ECNL League and for La Vernia at the high school level, where she already surpassed 100 goals in just two seasons. Mecke is the main attacking option in her team, using her pace and dribbling to beat opponents and her solid finishing skills to convert chances. She's part of [program_tooltip program_id='283274' first='BVB' last='IA Texas'] G09 in the Girls Academy League and represents Sachse at the high school level. An extremely well-rounded player, she is mostly used in central midfield, but can also help at the outside back spot if needed. Ramirez is very calm and skilled on the ball and makes a major offensive impact for her team with her ability to beat opponents off the dribble and set plays up with her excellent vision.</p>
