2028 CA commits, USYNT, and National ranked players

Included in this segment are some nationally ranked players on USYNT's, including some of the elite-level players in the nation.   USE THE PROMO CODE almasin30 for a discount on your first subscription   Almost three months since the 2026 recruitment window opened up, we have 5 more players from the class of 2028 making their commitments.   Previously, I ran a few articles featuring some of the elite players from Arizona and California.  Here is another one covering players from Florida, Wake Forest, Nevada, Cal Poly, and UC Santa Barbara.  The Division 1 commits are sure to make an impact on their teams once they arrive on campus, with the majority of them competing for playing time and possibly some starting positions if they continue to develop their game to meet the needs and challenges of the highest levels in collegiate soccer.    These players are now off the board and are now setting the stage for their jump to the next level.  This major hurdle in their soccer journey is now less stressful, as they can focus on preparation for college-level soccer.  Some will also rejoin their high school soccer teams in their junior year of high school.  While some will continue to focus on preparing for the next level.  Either way, these talented players are poised to make the best of the opportunities given while getting ready to make an impact on their respective programs.   Just a reminder to all prospective collegiate players: everyone's journey is different, and your pathway to the next level might take a little longer, but the goal is to focus on the right fit.  Don't just think that it is DI or Bust, as all levels of collegiate soccer can offer you the rewards of continuing your soccer career and prepare you for the journey after the games end. Koi is a highly rated player who is in the USYNT system while playing as a striker and winger. Her ability to run down the flanks and beat defenders allows her to get her team in high-percentage scoring zones. While on the U16 team, they won 4-0 over Denmark. She was credited for an amazing goal, in which she challenged players on the right flank and made a switch to the left before cutting in to find her upper right netting. Koi's speed, tactical decision-making skills, and ability to score under pressure make her one of the elite-level players on this top-tier list. The USYNT U16 player is a dynamic playmaker who can get the assist as well as deliver when goals are needed. Mainly playing as an attacking mid, Kiyomi is somewhat of a field general who can set the tempo on offense. Once she gets into a groove, it's like poetry in motion. I've seen her slice through defenses with ease as well as drop passes over defenses with precision and timing while hitting runners in stride. Her ability to make precise passes in tight windows is also what makes her a constant fixture in the USYNT pool. Wishing her the best of luck with the U17 team and hoping to cover her at Saint Francis if she decides to play high school soccer in the upcoming winter season. She's a player who consistently delivers. One of her key strengths is using both feet to make clean passes or hard/precise shots on goal. As a freshman in high school, she led the Sierra Delta League as the MVP on offense while scoring 46 goals and putting up 14 assists in 15 matches. One of the events in which she really excelled was at a COPA Soccer Training Center, while scoring high marks in a 10-yard sprint time: 1.57 (94th percentile) and Cube Rating (Cognitive/Technical Drill): 64.9 (85th percentile). Jayla's quick release and ability to make explosive plays in the attacking third are some of the reasons she'll get opportunities to compete in higher-level formats. While playing at the ECNL level, she has earned back-to-back ECNL Girls Southwest all-Conference First Team honors in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons. During the last high school season, Laiken helped her Santa Margarita Catholic High School team keep its championship-winning streak while earning Second-Team All-Trinity League honors. She is a player who brings a lot of energy and can make an impact on both ends of the field. One of her key strengths is making the long throw-in passes and assisting in scoring. She is no doubt one of the players we will be hearing more about sooner rather than later. As a multi-sport athlete at Menlo School, Addi showed her range as an athlete while playing on the varsity teams in soccer, flag football, and lacrosse. I've covered her while she played in her freshman year of soccer at Menlo, and she was definitely one of their key players on defense. I liked how she showed poise while going up against larger players 2-3 years her senior. Addi never backed down, and that style of play transitioned for her at the ECNL level as well as with the other sports. Her ability to make quick adjustments in 1v1 battles allowed her to recover if needed. I'm looking forward to covering more of the Knights' matches this season and wish her well at UC Santa Barbara.
