The ECNL Champions League playoffs are nearly over in Washington. Wednesday's action was the final day of group play in the 2009 age group. With teams fighting for a chance to keep their seasons alive and move onto the next round, there was a lot on the line. Check out some of the individual standouts from the games on Wednesday in the 2009 age group.

[player_tooltip player_id='144824' first='Jenna' last='Huynh'], San Diego Surf 09 - In what will ultimately be a forgettable game, Huynh provided a bit of magic with a brilliant cross that set up the lone goal for No. 71. The left back delivered a picture-perfect service for the lone tally of the game. Surf, already in the driver's seat in the group thanks to two convincing wins to start group play, held possession for much of this game without feeling the need to progress the ball much. In one of the few jaunts into the attack in the second half, Huynh delivered a beautiful cross that fell kindly for the a strike and the game-winner. She was also strong defensively, but the instances on that side were limited due to Surf retaining a large percentage of the possession.

Sabrina Callejas, FC Prime 09 - Callejas made a tremendous save on a close shot from [player_tooltip player_id='146362' first='Felicity' last='Nguyen']. It was a great diving effort that showed her quick reactions and athleticism.

Gianna Hanf, Match Fit Academy 09 - Hanf was outstanding in the first half of the win over United Futbol Academy. The engine in the center of the field was also the creative outlet with a number of key passes.

Sabrina Karoly, Match Fit Academy 09 - Karoly made an impact early with her service from set pieces. Her corner kick netted the opening goal in the big win over UFA.

[player_tooltip player_id='110757' first='Riley' last='Marino'], World Class FC 09 - Marino put her team out on on the front foot early with exquisite passing. The outside back provided the assist to [player_tooltip player_id='110759' first='Ashton' last='Parker'] on the opening goal.

[player_tooltip player_id='110759' first='Ashton' last='Parker'], World Class FC 09 - Parker's pace created problems all day for the opposition. She was getting behind the defense and scoring or creating chances for her side.

[player_tooltip player_id='110764' first='Nora' last='Ujkaj'], World Class FC 09 - The pass Ujkaj made for the first goal of the second half was outrageous. She had the hockey assist on the goal. It was an outside of the foot pass with the right pace and perfect precision.

Chloe Guenther, KC Athletics 09 - I thought Guenther was outstanding in the win over FC Stars Blue. I don't think her name made it on the scoresheet, but she was the most important player on the field for me in the first half. The captain of the squad was excellent in position, ball-winning, and passing as the orchestrator of the midfield. The KC attack flourished thanks to her play.

Jacy Hackler, KC Athletics 09 - Hackler looked unstoppable for the most part on Wednesday. The Athletics forward made great runs and was rewarded with terrific passes. She did not waste a chance either with a pair of goals. Ava Brown provided a wonderful assist on Hackler's first goal.

Evie Kincaid, KC Athletics 09 - Kincaid's assist on Hackler's second goal showed her two-way quality. She won the possession, battled through a tackle in the quick press, and then picked her up and provided a perfectly timed pass. Kincaid is developing into a complete player in the center of the field.

Meila Brewer, KC Athletics 09 - Brewer showed her quality as one of the best center backs at this event on Wednesday. An absolute dominant display as KC Athletics rolled to a victory and a spot in the next round.

Kyah Smith, VDA 09 - Smith scored the goal for her side in a 1-1 draw against FC Dallas. Smith and VDA advanced to the Round of 16 as the group winner with the result.
