ECNL Girls Texas Conference U16: Three Goalkeepers to Watch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The highly competitive ECNL club league kicked off its 2024-2025 season on the weekend of August 24-25, with the first Conference matches taking place around the country and setting the floor for what's going to be ten intense months of soccer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Texas Conference has been one of the strongest in the league in the last few years and will continue to be this season as some of the most talented players in the nation represent clubs from the region. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Soccer Texas will be following the action weekly and providing coverage in text, photo and social media posts, giving the talented prospects from the Lone Star State some well-deserved recognition and exposure. We start our coverage featuring some players to watch in the upcoming season. She's a technically sound goalkeeper, who doesn't overcomplicate things and stands out by keeping her actions simple and efficient between the posts. Besides being very technical, Ta is also extremely athletic, which allows her to make saves in the corners and dominate the game in the air. The way she opens her arms and uses her legs to increase her body area and stop close-range finishes has proven to be very efficient and makes of her one of the best in that kind of situation. Ryan is also very quick and brave to leave her position to make stops and is never afraid of a collision to keep the ball out of the goal. A tall goalkeeper, she's an excellent shot-stopper, using her arms and legs to make difficult saves in short-distance finishes. Arnold is also very agile and can get to the ground in no time to make saves, efficiently getting to the ball in the lower corners. Because of her size, the goalkeeper is never afraid of leaving her posting to catch or punch corners.
