Ta plays up with the FC Dallas U17 team that will be challenged by Richmond United, LV Heat Surf and Penn Fusion SA this weekend. Another goalkeeper with US Youth National Team pedigree, she’s typically one of the team’s standouts with her strong play between the posts. Ta is an elite shot-stopper who not only makes difficult saves but also rarely gives up rebounds or allows second chances for opponents. She’s one of the best in the business when it comes to claiming crosses, reading the ball trajectory accurately and navigating the penalty box smoothly to get to it. Ta can be an offensive weapon, too, initiating quick transition plays with intelligent throws after making stops.

The FC Dallas shot stopper was terrific last season during the playoffs, and she continues to get better. Her excellent play was on full display in San Diego. Her distribution with her footwork was especially impressive.

Ta was very solid between the posts for FC Dallas and kept the team in the game with good saves. She had to work a lot during the first half, when Albion had more of the ball, and responded very well, confidently handling the shots that went her way. Ta couldn’t have stopped Corcoran’s shot in Albion’s goal as it was fired from very close range, but she was excellent at getting to crosses into the box in set pieces. The goalkeeper was also very efficient when putting the ball back in play and got to initiate some transition plays for her team with her accurate throws.

Ta will be between the posts for the FC Dallas 09 side that will have Seattle United, Eclipse Select and Utah Alavanch as opponents in this weekend’s event. Another Texas goalkeeper with USYNT pedigree, she continues to develop and steadily include her name in the conversation about the best in the country. Ta is extremely technical and, at times, her ability to pick the right options for each play makes her saves look simpler than they actually are. Her reflexes are also impressive and allow her to thrive in short-distance shots, including penalty kicks. Another of her strengths is her ability to quickly scan the field after making a save and putting the ball back in play with great efficiency.

Ta is the starting goalkeeper for the strong FC Dallas ECNL 09 team. She’s a technically sound goalkeeper, who doesn’t overcomplicate things and stands out by keeping her actions simple and efficient between the posts. Besides being very technical, Ta is also extremely athletic, which allows her to make saves in the corners and dominate the game in the air. Another interesting aspect of her game is her ability to ignite quick transition plays as immediately after she makes a save, the goalkeeper starts scanning the field looking for a teammate to give the ball to.

FC Dallas went throught the event undefeated and only conceded one goal. I thought Ta’s play against Match Fit Academy in group play was some of the best goalkeeping I saw in any age group. The young netminder for FC Dallas is one to keep an eye on. She has already been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past, and showed in Washington that she should continue to get looks as one of the best in her position.

‘s FC Dallas team had a difficult weekend, getting one tie and two losses, with the backline leading six goals. I got to watch them in a 2-1 loss to PDA Blue and thought she did very well between the posts, keeping her team in the game until the end. A tall goalkeeper, Ta handled very well the crosses sent into the penalty box and the shots targeting the upper corner. She also had the reflexes to make stops in close-range finishes and tried to push the team forward, quickly putting the ball back in the game when she made a save.
