I could honestly write about this whole San Diego Surf team they are that good. The fulcrum in midfield however is Fallis. She is the centerpiece that makes this team tick. She scored an excellent goal just outside of the 18 that rebounded and she was quick to react to slot home. I don’t remember her putting a foot wrong or turning the ball over. She won a load of aerial duels and progressed the ball forward whenever possible. Exceptional player.

Stella Fallis Stella Fallis M/D CA – Fallis put on a tutorial on how to play defensive midfielder in the game on Monday. The San Diego Surf star did a bit of everything to help her team win. The variety of passing really left an impression. She was quick to recognize where to go with the ball next – including when to spring a quick attack over the top of the defense. She was also excellent at picking out the line splitting pass to Ariah Dominguez Ariah Dominguez M/F State CA too. Perhaps underrated was her defensive ability. She put in a tackle in the open field to toe-tap the ball away from the opponent. She has a full kit in her arsenal of skills and fits in perfectly at the No. 6 spot. 

Fallis is a defensive midfielder on the San Diego Surf 2012 ECNL team. She is the leader in the center of the field. She does well playing with her head up. She scans quickly and makes good decisions on the ball. The Surf style of play puts a heavy emphasis on retaining possession and the No. 6 on the team needs to be good at quickly assessing and showing high-level tactical decision-making. Fallis fits that role and shines with those responsibilities. She has the soccer smarts to be on the radar for professional clubs. She has a bright future in the game.
