Cincy City Rankings: Prominent Forwards Set to Return

Neto is a talented forward who can do it all in the final third. Neto is most dangerous with the ball at his feet, but has the anticipation and speed to punish backlines off the ball as well. He can find success whether he is cutting in and shooting or attacking the end line and crossing. Neto found the net 16 times last season and assisted 11 times. He received All-Conference First Team honors as well as Athlete of the Year in the Greater Miami Conference. Defending state champions Summit Country Day graduated multiple talented players this year, but a returner who stands out to me is Austin Fry. Fry scored 12 times last season and is returning as a junior. Fry has a high work rate and is an athletic player. Summit graduates Hayden Kintner and Quinn Kreider this year, who played large roles in the team's offense, leaving a gap for Austin to fill. Boyd had an illustrious season this year, scoring 19 goals and assisting 7 times! This success on the stat sheet can be attributed to Boyd's willingness to shoot the ball at any time and with either foot. Boyd also has great size and speed, which makes him a scoring threat on and off the ball. Boyd is a bold player and will have great success as a senior next season. Moeller High School soccer has had great success in the last few years. An integral part of last season's success was Karson Lang. With ten goals and six assists, Karson led the team and the conference in offensive production. Karson is an athletic player who can create something out of nothing. He is comfortable with scoring in multiple different ways and with either foot. Harmon was runner-up in the GCL to Lang in offensive production with 12 goals. Harmon is quite the set-piece threat. Harmon is able to take a set piece himself or get on the other side of it. He is an aerial threat and will also run across the face of a defender to score a cross. Harmons athleticism makes him a dangerous player, and, like Karson, he can make opportunities appear out of nothing.
